"We've got Defense Against the Dark Arts with the Gryffindors first," I say looking down at my schedule.
I run up ahead, my robes dragging behind me.
"C'mon Malfoy stop being so slow. I've got better things to do then wait." I groan.
"Relax, I'll be right there." He says catching up. We walk to class in an awkward silence. Me wondering what he was thinking. I looked over at him. He winked. I winked back. Finally we arrived at D.A.D.A.
"Take your seats students and have out your wands." said Professor Quirrell, wearing a maroon turban upon his head. I looked at it. It was large especially in the back of his head. I thought this particularly odd. I stopped thinking of Quirrell's head and took a seat near the back. That way I can't get in trouble if I feel like playing a prank. Malfoy took the seat next to me. A rather large Gryffindor girl walked by and sat down in front of us. "Would you mind moving your unusually fat head somewhere else?" Malfoy asked. I burst out laughing, unable to hold it back. The girl scowled and took a seat in the front.
"Brilliant." I said still recovering from laughing so hard.
"First we will be practicing the curse of the bogeys." Malfoy and I laughed.
"Is this some kind of joke Professor?" I asked. He ignored me and continued. I zoned out, waving my wand without paying it any attention.
"Excuse me Miss Dragone?" said Quirrell impatiently. I snapped back to reality.
"Uh... Yeah?" I asked.
"Why is my desk on fire?" he asked. I looked over at his desk and it was indeed on fire.
"Oops. Uh... sorry Professor."
"Aguamenti!" Quirrell said with a wave of his wand and the fire extinguished. I sighed, this was going to be a long class. Before I knew it, I had drifted off...
