The next couple weeks fly by. I get poor marks in Herbology, but rather high ones in Defense Against the Dark Arts. Malfoy and I grow close. We play pranks on the Hufflepuffs and Ravenclaws all the time. Last week we did a hex on a Ravenclaw that made her hair stand up straight for a week! It was hilarious.

Now Draco and I are walking to the common room. "Did you see that boy's robes today? They were five sizes too big. Every time he walked he tripped." I laughed. "You know, the good thing about you Anna, is you laugh at everything I say. No matter how stupid it is." I grin. "Nothing you say is stupid Draco." I say. Then I notice a poster on the wall of the common room. "Look Draco, quidditch!" I grin. "I'm trying out. What about you?" I ask. "Na, I'm better at dueling. Besides I'll save my spot for you." He says. Tryouts were in an hour.

I gripped one of the Hogwarts brooms nervously. I'd only flown with my brother, never in a real stadium. Malfoy was in the stands cheering me on, but I was still jittery. The team captain Marcus Flint gave us a few drills and told us the results would be told later tonight. I rushed out to the stands to meet Malfoy. "You were cool up there." He says. "I know." I look smug. We walk to the common room and look inside at the group of students gathered around Flint. "Hey Dragone, you're Chaser, practice is at seven tomorrow." Jade glared at me, she had also tried out but hadn't made it. "Knew you'd make it." said Malfoy. I smiled and ran off to bed, bidding Draco good night.
