When I wake up, I lift the covers and see my leg covered in cuts, scratches, and bruises, but at least it's there. I stand up and look around. Draco is lying on the bed next to mine, fast asleep. I watch him, quietly snoring peacefully and I can't help but giggle. It just seems funny that tough, Death Eater Malfoy snores like everyone else. Haha! Pretty soon Harry walks in with Hermione and Ron. "Anna! Are you okay? We heard what happened." said Harry sadly. "Yeah, I'm good. Thanks Harry." I reply. "Hermione!" I say running over to give her a hug. "How are you feeling?" She asks nervously. "Don't worry about me, I'm fine. Honestly." I say with a smile. After chatting with them Pomfrey comes in. "Malfoy, Dragone, you're free to go." She says. I shake Draco awake and he pecks me on the cheek. I blush a deep red. Ron groans. I take Draco's hand and we leave the hospital wing. We go to the Slytherin common room saying goodbye to Harry, Ron, and Hermione. As I plop into a chair on Draco's lap an owl flies through the window, landing on a chair. I remove the letter and open it, reading its contents.
Dear Anna, I'm trying to do what's best for our family. I know it's not exactly what you would have chosen for us, but I'm trying. The Dark Lord has been punishing disloyal Death Eaters and I do not wish to be one of them. Please do as he says, for me.
Sincerely,
Father

I crumple up the letter and toss it in the trash. "Rubbish." I say angrily. All he cares about is himself. He has no problem with my life being destroyed in the process as long as he survives. Yet, deep down I miss him. I miss going to Florean Fortescue's and getting ice cream. I miss him telling me the Tales of Beedle the Bard when I was little. I miss him just being there for me. Nothing will ever be the same again. "It's alright Anna, I'm going through the same thing." Draco says, pulling me into a hug. I pull him close tears dropping onto his Slytherin scarf.
