So The Games Begin [Ciel x Reader x Sebastian]

Chapter 17

(Author's Note:

This story is coming to an end. Only 1 or 2 chapters left before the decison.

There are going to be two endings! 

One for Sebastian and One for Ciel!!

This way it's fair!

So after the next 1 or 2 chapters I will write Sebastian's ending and Ciel's ending. I will write them both then post them both at the same time.

Also I MIGHT write two Sequels!

Once again, One for Sebastian and One for Ciel.

I'm going to also make these sequels love triangles to go with the theme.

Ciel's is going to be Ciel x Reader x Alois

Sebastian's is going to be Sebastian x Reader x Claude

These sequels will also both have two endings so its fair.

Sorry if you don't like the way I'm ending this or how I'm doing the sequels, but it's my story and I'm doing it the way I like.

Also it might be awhile before I write the sequels. I want to finish all my stories before I start two new ones. IF and when I do write the sequels I will write and post them at the same time to keep it fair for both Sebastian and Ciel lovers.

Thanks so much for reading~! And please don't push me to update or write the sequels once this is done, it's quite hard updating and writing and finding time.

As soon as you walked through the doors of the Phantomhive Manor you were tackled into a huge hug. You instantly recognized who was hugging you and returned the embrace whole heartedly, fresh tears cascading down both of your faces.

“Oh ____! I am so sorry! I’m sorry for everything! You are my best friend, I’m sorry if I drove you away!” Lizzy cried sadness in her soft voice.

She pulled away to look at you and you both stood to face each other. A sad smile graced her features and you couldn’t help but feel a lump form in your throat at the words that Elizabeth was speaking.

“I love Ciel, I truly do, but he loves you and you love him. If both of you are happy, then I’m happy.” Elizabeth stated, a truly genuine smile was plastered on her face.

You choked back a sob and lunged forward, pulling Lizzy into another tight hug. “I’m sorry too Lizzy. I’m sorry for all the trouble and pain I’ve caused you. I’m sorry for everything. I do hope you can forgive me.” You said solemnly.

Causing your best friend pain was something you never wanted to do. She was there for you always and you were always there for her. All up until Ciel came into the picture. You had stolen her fiancé and even though she understood now, you couldn’t help but feel horrible still.

Lizzy’s tinkling bell like laugh tickled your ears and she pulled away, holding you at arm’s length.  “Of course I forgive you ____! Best friends forever right?” Lizzy said, the bright smile on her face never faltering.

A bright smile mirroring Lizzy’s lit up your face and you pulled her into one final hug before separating and turning to face Ciel and Sebastian.

A warm smile spread across Sebastian’s face upon seeing you happy and safe again. The red eyed butler stepped forward and held out his hand.

“Milady ____, would you like to accompany me on a stroll through the gardens?” Sebastian asked, his red eyes never leaving your (e/c) ones.

You giggled and placed you hand in his without any hesitation. “Of course Sebastian.” You said, as Sebastian smiled down at you and lead you outside.

There was an uncomfortable silence between Ciel and Lizzy. Ciel didn’t know what to say to her. Lizzy had no idea what to say to him. It seemed everything they had both wanted to say had already been spoken, yet there was so much more to say. They both stared at each other and slowly a soft smile appeared on Lizzy’s face, Ciel’s lips also curving upward into a slight smile.

“I’m sorry it had to end like this Elizabeth.” Ciel stated in his usual serious tone of voice.

Elizabeth simply giggled and smiled rolling her eyes. “How many times do I have to tell you? It’s Lizzy!” Elizabeth said playfully.

Ciel looked off to the side and it was quiet once again but this time Lizzy broke it. “You know, I always thought that we were meant for each other.” Lizzy said solemnly.

Ciel turned back to look at her, yet he didn’t know quite what to say and it didn’t look like Lizzy was done yet.

“I knew you loved her. I saw the way you looked at her. I never once dreamed that you would fall in love with my best friend.” Lizzy spoke softly, looking towards the ground and a bitter smile on her face.

Her words seemed to echo and bounce off the walls of the Phantomhive Manor. Upon hearing those words a feeling of guilt suddenly hit Ciel’s cold heart. He never thought that he would ever feel guilty, but he did. He felt guilt but not regret. Never regret. Not when it came to you.

Ciel cold blue eye stared at the blonde and usually playful girl in front of him, but now there was nothing but seriousness and sadness on the young girls face. Slowly she raised her head and her bright and innocent emerald green eyes met with his single cold ocean blue one. In that single glance you could tell just how opposite the two really are and they seemed to realize that.

Lizzy smiled brightly once again, her happy and bright demeanour returning in a flash. “But it’s ok! It’s really ok, we clearly aren’t meant to be. I’m glad that you chose her.” Lizzy stated softly.

A look of confusion crossed Ciel’s face and Lizzy smiled before stepping closer to the boy.  “I’m glad you chose ____. You’ve never looked at anyone the way you look at her. I honestly thought that you would never fall in love, not even with me. But I’m glad you fell in love with ____.She makes you smile and that’s all I ever wanted to do. She’s my best friend so look after her ok?” Lizzy said, smiling brightly and giggling towards the end.

A genuine smile crossed Ciel’s face and she was shocked. It was something she thought she would never see again, something she hadn’t seen since they were very young. Ciel’s smile. Something even more shocking happened too. Ciel stepped forward and pulled the blonde girl into his arms, embracing her in a tight hug. Lizzy stood still in shock, this was all happening so suddenly, what she had wished for, what she had wanted for so long was finally happening, but not in the circumstances she wanted them too. She was still happy nonetheless. If Ciel was happy she was happy. Same goes for her best friend, if ____ was happy she was happy. That’s what love is after all.

“Thank you Lizzy.” Ciel said, his serious voice taking on a soft tone, a tone which he usually saved for ____.

Lizzy smiled and hugged Ciel back. Only one thought crossing her mind.
