Castle Grimskull – The Throne Room, 3:00 a.m.
The air is cold.
The torches burn black.
You stand in the center of the obsidian floor, Penance planted point-down like your claiming territory.
Mandy sits on the throne (legs crossed, arms draped like a bored empress, eyes glowing that same dead pink that once made entire armies kneel).
Hundreds of demons, ghosts, and reapers line the walls.
None of them dare breathe.
Your voice cuts through the silence like a blade.
Y/N: “For the 79th time I’m NOT your pet, BITCH.”
The word echoes off the skull-carved walls.
Flesh Hooks hiss from your chest, chains rattling like angry rattlesnakes.
Mandy doesn’t flinch.
She just leans forward, slowly, deliberately, until her lips are a hair’s breadth from your ear.
Her voice a velvet whisper that somehow fills the entire hall:
Mandy: “You will be… ♡”
The temperature drops another twenty degrees.
Every torch snuffs out at once.
When the lights flicker back on a second later, Mandy is still on her throne.
You're still in the center of the room.
But there’s a thin, black choker around your neck now — made of pure shadow, shaped like a tiny crown of thorns.
It wasn’t there before.
You reach up, fingers pass right through it. It’s not physical, but a promise.
Your eyes narrow to slits.
Y/N: “Remove it.”
Mandy smiles — slow, terrible, fond.
Mandy: “Make me.”
The entire castle holds its breath.
Your hand tightens on your weapon. The glow flares so bright it turns the black marble floor reflective.
Y/N: “Last chance.”
Mandy leans back, spreading her arms like she’s offering the world.
Mandy: “I’ve waited centuries for something that could actually hurt me.
You’re not leaving this castle until I’m bored of you, little god-killer. And I never get bored.”
From the shadows, Grim Jr. and Minnie watch — wide-eyed, half in terror, half in awe.
Minnie, whispering: “…Mom just flirted with death and death flinched.”
Junior, cracking: “She’s gonna keep him. She’s actually gonna keep him.”
You takes one step forward. The choker tightens — not painfully.
Possessively.
Y/N: “…This isn’t over.”
Mandy did not smile, but her eyes are filled with
Mandy: “Good boys don’t run, pet. They hunt. And when you come for me…I’ll be waiting.”
The torches flare back to life. You were gone. Only the faint smell of ozone and undead soul remains.
On the throne, Mandy touches her lips, tasting victory.
