I must've fallen asleep because for the second time today a knock on the door woke me up.

I didn't say anything just sat up on the edge of the bed and stared at the door. The person on the other side must've taken the silence as the cue to come in and moments later it creaked open, Mom peaked her head inside first and when she noticed me I heard her sigh and entered, she closed the door softly behind her and walk towards me. She sat beside me and put her hand on my cheek that I guess is still tear strained from the events this morning. She sighed once again and put her arms around me.

"I'm sorry." She said that made me frown although see can't see me.

"For what mom?" I asked confused.

"Your dad."

"I know mom. I'm sorry too"

"Shh.. Its not your fault. I know you'll make it till midnight-" she gasp "-the party! Scarlet you need to prepare it will start any minute from now. I thought you're already prepared. The guests are already downstairs." I was surprised too. I'm honestly really exhausted right now physically, mentally, and emotionally. I actually forgot about the party. I sighed and said "Just give me a few minutes to prepare mom. Just-just distract them to make them forget about me for awhile." She broke the hug and nodded.

"Better hurry" she warned and the left. After she closed the door behind her and I slumped back into bed. I groaned before rolling off of bed and went to the bathroom, I took a quick shower and went to where my closet is and began searching for a dress that might fit for the occasion.

The last dress on my closet was a blue dress that reach my mid thigh and I paired it with a black boots and began working with my hair. I never bothered to put make-up because I don't know how.

The party was alive when I went down, and nobody seems to notice my tardiness. I look around and saw the different and unfamiliar faces of other people. I heaved a deep breath and let it out slowly. The loud music hit me hard, echoing around the house. The house was packed with people my age. They're having fun, happily grinding with each other, red cups on hand, probably drunk already and it disgusted me.

The drink must be mixed of strong alcohols for it to effect younger wolves. You see werewolves don't get drunk easily except it one has too many or drinking strong alcoholic drinks and in a very rare occasion, if you have the money then you can afford the substance a thing that can easily effect on weres.

"Glad you showed up" the cold voice of Austin startled me, making me jump. He was behind me, face still void of emotions.  I'm not used to him being like this in me, never in my life he treated me like this, and it hurts. I turn to fully look at him and smiled, he did not smile back at me and just stared coldly at me.

"Hey" I said.

"Your father is waiting for you."

"Austin please-"

"He's at the backyard along with the others" he said and walk away. Again.

"Hey!" I called after him, we both know he heard me but he choose to ignore me and I watched as he slowly disappeared into the crowd .

I felt rejected all of a sudden and it angers me, a lot. I balled my hands into fists and began to walk towards the backdoor that leads to the backyard. Through the glass doors I can see that the party was more decent there and the people out there are less compared to the ones here inside, most of them are the old, the parents probably.

'You can do this. You can do this' I keep rhyming those words inside my head as I slid the doors open and stepped outside. The chatters and laughter died down as soon I stepped outside and all the heads turn to look at me, expectantly. They must've caught my scent. I smiled my eyes roaming at all of them and finally spotted my mother. I walk towards her who was currently talking to a man, probably another alpha from the neighboring pack. I was almost at them away when she turn to look at me and smiled, motioning with her head on where my father was. I nodded and walk past her. The chatter continued and nobody seems to pay attention at me now.

Some of them smiled at me as I pass but most of them just ignored me. I did not find my father anywhere so I decided to have some fresh air. I walk past the stupid party and into the woods. As I walk beside the big trees, something inside me is telling me to go back but I ignore it and keep walking. My steps were light and the cold night air blew some strands of my hair. I walk deeper in the woods, gigantic trees slowly engulfing me with its shadows. Twigs snap under my boots and night creatures scurries away from me. I continue on walking until I saw the familiar sight of the river.

I always went here when I'm depressed or something. But now, I don't know what to feel anymore.

The cold air blew again and I caught an unfamiliar scent that made me slightly anxious, its not that strong but something isn't right. And I know it.

The scent became stronger but I know they're far from here.

My senses were more stronger than other werewolves not because of the alpha blood that flows through my veins, but because I know in myself that I am different.

This time the scent grew stronger and never in my life I have caught that scent before. It was a wolf but not a rogue scent.

They were from normal wolves from another pack. But what are they doing here and not in the party. Are they invited? But they should have been there already if they are.

I stared at the dark forest ahead, only the light from the moon giving me some help for me to see through the dark forest but it was only the shadows of the tress I see. Not long enough the grumbling of the ground alerted me. I sensed that there are many of them and they are heading this way and the scent tells me that they are near. Way near from here. I was about to run when I bumped into something hard.

"Going somewhere?" A voice that could freeze a volcano asked.
