"Cursed." No.

I laughed nervously at him. "N-no. You've got it all wrong." I said staring intently at him. Trying to see through him, wanting to know what the hell was he talking about.

"You're her descendant." He added.

"W-what?" None of it makes sense. Heck is this even part of the ritual?

"You carried the curse. Her curse." He said which made me more frustrated. I have no idea what he was talking about. Who's her?

"What are you talking about?" I tried pleading him with my eyes, to tell me what was happening, but his were in far away look as if he was in another time, seeing another things, remembering something that's telling me it wasn't anything good.

"Zavrina." He said and at the same time the moon reached its peak and shone brightly above us. That was it, it was the signal. The ritual must start before the time ends.

My heavy breathing says it all. My heart pounded so fast inside my chest, my earlier confidence gone, replaced by my own fear and confusion. The voices inside my head are getting loud, making my head swirl with many voices.

"Alpha, why are we not starting?" Someone asked.

"Alpha, what's happening?"

"Alpha, is everything all right?"

"Alpha, should we interfere?"

The voices are are so loud inside my head. Confusion and concern lacing their voices. I tried calming them but everyone are ready to attack any moment if I don't reply anytime soon.

"Scarlet." It was Austin, his voice that will always stand out to everyone echoed inside my head. My eyes automatically searched for his presence. My eyes scanned for him and he was already staring at me when I found him.

"What's happening? Why are we not starting yet?" His face was formed into a deep frown and his scrutinizing gaze are focused at me and at the elder. And I didn't miss the way his eyes darken when he noticed my fear stricken face

"I don't know too. Please calm everyone and let me handle this." I replied and blocked everyone from the link.

I turned my eyes and focused on the elder in front of me. My face blank, stance rigid and I barely recognize the voice that came out from me.

"Should we start or not?" I asked that made the elder nod and went back to his line.

I observed the elders as they talk to each other using their minds. Faces unreadable but the elder that talked to me few seconds ago was staring intently at me with a deep frown. I raised a single brow at him and he nod before letting out a loud growl which made the other elders stop talking and turn  their attention on me. "Let's begin." he said in a low voice that manage to make the goosebumps rise all over my body.

The elder at the center; the same elder before, started muttering words that I didn't recognize, must be an ancient language. Soon, others followed saying the same words over and over again. The moon above us glowed brighter and in just a matter of seconds the same elder was in front of me. Startled, I took a step back which made him fully look at me. And for the first time, I saw his face. He looked so.... young. He must be in his late twenties or something with high cheekbones, straight nose, but there was a large rune that covers almost half of his face and runs down to his neck and disappeared under his cloak, and dark scrutinizing eyes.. I blinked twice and snapped out of my reverie when he roughly grabbed my right arm and put it on the stone and made a deep cut  on my palm. A low groan escaped my traitorous mouth as the pain slowly formed on the wound. I stared at the blood oozing from the wound and into the stone. As the blood flows at the sides, the runes that are engraved at them started to glow. The elder, still has his tight grip on my hand, started muttering words in the same strange language. The moon above us started to darken as the blood on the stone nearly covered it all. The runes glowed bright red and so does the moon at the same time. When the blood covered it all, the stone become black, the veins on my wrists become black and another moon appeared, it was black. Soon my head become light and it felt like I was floating into nothingness then I looked up, both moon slowly becoming as one, creating a magnificently unique eclipse, I close my eyes as I feel another presence is slowly over taking my whole being. I heard a couple of shouts somewhere near me and it stopped when there was a loud warning growl that soon I realized came from me.

I opened my eyes and all I see was utter darkness. An ear splitting growl forced its way deep within my chest, it sounds so deadly even in my own ears and soon, different animalistic howls followed. The grip on my wrist tightened, if that was possible. And then I heard his voice with full of concern and fear. Or maybe I only imagined it, I'm not so sure.

"Don't give into it."

I was about to ask him what was he talking about when another growl ripped its way out of me. I closed my eyes again, praying to the moon Goddess that I will come back to myself as I feel my wolf dominate me. I tried forced my way out of her but she was so strong. Then his voice started talking again, this time his was in hurry and he sounded so nervous. I tried fighting my own wolf pleading her inside me and she let me, she let me have control, she went deep inside me and cage herself. Then my vision came back to normal when I opened my eyes once again.

I stared at the elder. His face inches away from mine, eyes deadly. The he said something that made it more complicated. Made myself more complicated.

"You just started it."

"W-what?" I asked. Damn this man is so frustrating.

He lean down on my ears, whispered something I can never understand.

"You must end your curse. Or we all die."
