Chapter Five: Betrayal

Katelyn POV

After Kendall left I went to go see Max in the hospital. When I got there, guess who I saw, Kendall Schmidt. "Kendall move." He stood in front of me, "No, you're not going in there." I rolled my eyes and tried to get by him, "No babe." I smacked him on the chest, "Kendall let me through." He shook his head, "No can do, you don't need to see him." I laughed dryly, "Why can I not?" He looked at me serious, "Because I don't like him." I ran past him and I got by. "Katelyn! Come here!" I ran to the receptionist's desk. "Max Benson." I said quickly, before Kendall got near. She was taking forever though.

"452." I ran and I saw Kendall. I ran down the hallway into Max's room. "Katelyn, I'm glad you came." I looked to my right and saw Kendall's friend Maze. What's he doing here? "Aren't you Kendall's girl?" I nodded, "Yeah." He nodded, "Max is my brother." He stood up, "But he won't tell me who the hell did this to him." Oh this cannot end well. Kendall came in. "Oh hey Max, I'm sorry to hear what happened."

I was scared as hell. I don't know what Maze is going to do if he finds out that Kendall did. Max was scared too. "Y-yeah I wonder who it could be." Kendall glared at him. "Hey Maze, what are you doing here?" He bro hugged Kendall. "Max is my brother." Kendall nodded uncertainly. "Well then, I hope you feel better Max. Whoever did this to you must be really strong." Kendall nodded at Maze and looked at me.

"Coming?" Oh crap. Do I stay with Max, but Maze scares me, or do I go with Kendall, but I'm mad at him. "I'll come by later Max." He nodded. I went with Kendall. I slapped him. "Ow! Babe!" I shook my head, "Don't babe me. You hurt your friend's brother." He shrugged, "It was worth it, it was for you." I groaned, "It wasn't a good cause." He got close to me. "Well in my eyes it was, you're safe." He grabbed my arm and led me to his car.

"I don't want to go with you." He was mad, I could tell. "I don't care." We drove to his house and I got out the car and started walking. "Where the hell are you going?"

"I'm going home." He grabbed my arm, hard. "I don't think so, stay with me. Come on." I was so frustrated with him. He was driving me insane. "Ok, ok. Look, I'm sorry I beat Max, but he put his hands on you. Are you telling me you don't want me to do anything when someone puts their hands on you?"

"No Kendall," I sighed. He smiled and took my hand. We went into his house. "Hey Logan," Kendall said. He smiled, "Hey Katelyn." Kendall put his hands up, "I said hi." He nodded, "Yeah I know." Kendall muttered, "Dick." Logan glared at him. I laughed. "Not funny."

"Ok we need to get Kendall-." I walked in on Jonas talking to his gang. "Hey baby sister." I gave him a weird look. "Come with me." He excused himself and came with me to the kitchen. "What Katelyn?" I sat on the counter. "What were you talking about with your gang?"

"Kendall needs to be killed and I've got an ally." I looked at him, "Who?" He smiled, "Maze Mackers." My eyes went wide. That was Kendall's "friend"." Oh no. I nodded, "Oh, why kill Kendall?" He sighed, "He's becoming a problem. He's a loose end. He needs to go." I got up. "Violence solves nothing." He nodded, "Yes, but it gets rid of one more problem. Kendall is a problem."

"No he's not. Just stay on your sides and everyone will be fine." I need to warn Kendall, while I'm doing all this talking, but he may kill my brother. Oh god. What do I do? I have to tell Kendall, maybe he'll figure out a way not to kill Jonas, so that he will make Jonas see he has no ally, so back off. Yeah, yeah that's sounds right. "Jonas, I'll be back." He looked confused, "Where ya going?" I yelled, "A place."

"Kendall!" I banged on the door. He opened, "Hey, what's up?" He motioned for me to come in. I sighed, "Kendall something bad is about to happen?" He put his phone down. "What Katelyn? What's wrong? Someone after you?" He got concerned. "Someone is after you Kendall." He gave me a weird look. "After me? Who?" I looked down. "My brother has a new ally." Kendall nodded, "Who?" I feel like I'm going against my brother on this and his life. I started to second guess myself. "Katelyn don't go quiet on me. Someone is trying to kill me that works with your brother. I need to know."

"I don't know if I'm putting his life in danger by telling you. You're going to kill him." Kendall sighed. "I want to, but for you, I won't. I love you too much, I'll beat some sense into him though. Better than dying. I love you so, I'll do it for you." I hugged him. "Thank you for not killing him." He chuckled. "Now, who's this ally." I let go. "Your friend."

He motioned me to go on. "Maze." His eyes went wide. He sat down. "W-what?" He looked like he was about to blow up the house. "He-he can't be planning to kill me." I sat down with him. I hugged him. "I'm sorry." He punched the table.

"Guys! Meeting! Now!" Oh no.

What'd you guys think? This story is going to be like ten, twelve chapters. Not long. Maybe I'll make a sequel in the future, but this story was just something to put in while I work on the next big project. Nothing else to say doe. Until Next Time.
