The Bad Apple

Chapter Eight: Planning World War III

Number 8, here we go.

Kendall POV

"Extra ammo?" James said, "Check." I nodded. "Extra weapons?" Carlos said. "Check." I nodded, "Man barricade?" Logan said, "Check." I nodded, "Ok, we're good. We are using AK's. No pistols, this is about to go down. Make sure we don't get any heat Logan." He nodded. "We won't." This is why Logan is the best person in the world.

"Now we sketch this out." I got a big sheet of paper. "This is the house." I showed everybody. "I want a perimeter all around the house, but hide, so they don't see you. There are bushes in the front, I planted bigger one's just for this. Shut your mouth and they won't hear you. I need five behind the wall of the basement door. I actually need eight on the second floor, five in the kitchen behind the counters and five near the back door. Everyone know their places." The gang nodded. "Logan, Carlos and James will be with me when this goes down. Have a pistol on you, but main weapon, AK. Make sure they don't see it."

We all left the planning room and went our separate ways. Now all we have to do is sit back and wait. Katelyn has been staying with me until further notice. Hell, she can move in. I don't want her near her brother after what she told me. He could not be trusted and his head's so far up his ass he doesn't even realize he's hurting his own sister.

This was one of the biggest wars I have ever had, and all my problems, and I mean all of them, will go away when Maze and Jonas are silenced. They are loose ends that need to be gone. I know Katelyn doesn't want her brother dead, but if it comes to that. It is what it is. I shook my head. I couldn't believe Maze betrayed me like that. He played me for a fool, now he was going to pay for it.

I went over the plan again and again in my head. This is how it was going to go down. I knew one day it was going to come to this, but I always kept it in the back of my mind. Now, I can go mess with Katelyn. "Hey babe." She rolled her eyes, "Kendall." I sat next to her.

"Don't act like you don't like me calling you babe." She scoffed, "I didn't say that. We're not together though." I nodded, "And Katelyn, that is my last dying wish, for us to be together." She put her book down, "Kendall don't say that." I shrugged, "It's true. I may not be alive in the next 48 hours." She sighed, "Come on Katelyn, be with me." She looked down for a moment, then looked up at me. "Ok, I will be with you."

I gave her a big kiss and smiled. "Thank you, I love you Katelyn." She smiled, "I love you too." We cuddled together and watched TV.

We were setting up and continuing planning. Just making sure everything is in place, because I got to honest, I'm nervous as hell. Jonas called me and demanded me to bring Katelyn back before he hurts me and I replied, "So you can kill her? No way." Then hung up. He was getting no where near Katelyn. I had my guards watch her at work. James and Carlos went with them, to make sure they were doing their job and watching Katelyn.

The last thing I need is Katelyn getting caught up in crossfire. I would be devastated if something happened to her. "Everything is set boss." I nodded, "Ok, we're good to go." I walked back into the house and saw Logan on the computer. "You got the camera on them set?" He nodded. Logan took a massive risk my going to the South side and putting camera around their house. He had a button that was directly wired to my house, if anything happened, an alarm would go off and we would race to him.

I owe him for that one. "Jonas is planning still, I hear them talking about how Katelyn could also be a target." Shit. I need extra protection on her. I have a secret bunker down below the basement. You have to tap on the wall with the softest touch, if someone fell on it, it wouldn't open. I won't have one of my gang members go down there. I'll just have Logan do it, he has mini helicopters that blow up when detonated. He can sit down there with a computer and set them off. I'll give him a gun just in case something goes down.

The bunker is locked tight though, so he shouldn't have any problem.

"Ok, let's get to the countdown Logan." He nodded. "Way ahead of you. I think our plan is very stable. We have a great approach to this. If they're expecting us to just come at them, they have another thing coming. This time they're making the first move."

I nodded, "They won't even see it coming." I hope. Katelyn came down. "You guys ok?" Logan and I nodded. She set her things down. "What's wrong?" I shook my head, "Nothing for you to worry about. You just sit on down and look pretty." She glared at me.

I love messing with her.
