I spotted him. I walked into the middle of his group of friends, face him, and blurted out, "How was the sloppy smooch with Brittany?" My smile formed crookedly turning into a smirk.

I took so much joy out it; I felt more like a girl nowadays then ever. Hanging with the guys was fun, but you get the full effect of being a girl when you find out or see juicy secrets of someone else. I was turning quite devious; it was slightly frightening me. But you know. People change...especially girls. Sometimes guys with their bods. Some guys go full out over the summer and return with complete muscle. Yum-meee. Oh my god, what the hell am I?!

He laughed nervously. I was still standing there waiting for his reply. Is this what being a gossip girl felt like? I giggled at my thought and got strange looks from his friends. I snickered back. Whatever.

Had an eternity gone by while I was standing here? He still hadn't replied. Then I heard a croke out of him. He lifted his arm and place his hand on the back of his head running his fingers through his hair uneasily.

"Hello?" I exaggerated; it came out so southern, I choked.

He looked around a few times, then at me. I thought, nice eyes, cowboy. "Um, yeah. You saw that?" his voice becoming high-pitched.

"Why do you think I've been standin' here?" I asked with a hand on my hip. This girlly stuff was really getting to me. Damn, Kacey. Once ONE girl was in my life besides my mother, I switch up my pace and turn out all girlly.

The guys looked at me strangely. Yep, this definitely wasn't me. They noticed.

"You know, I should really tell, Kacey. Already new and pickin' up the whore of the school? Hmm, Avery. You really know how to fit it. You got the looks, charm, personality, sexiness..." Did I just say that? "Yep, you got it all." I laughed. He seemed quite taken back at how I was acting.

I glanced down the hall, noticing Hunter at his locker. Maybe, he could knock some sense into me and get this "girlly" side of me out. It was Friday. Could be the summer fever? It was almost summer break, so this girliness could just be a phase because of the spring heat. Down here in Georgia, it got HOT.

I waved a hand at Avery and his new friends, said bye, and began my way to Hunter.

"Hunter!" I yelled. "Please, help me!" I ran to his locker and bumped into him. "Sorry," I said apologetically, fixing his shirt. Are those abs I feel?....Dammit! There I go again.

"Uh, hello?"

"Something's wrong with me. Ever since I ran into Kacey a few days ago, her girly senses have rubbed off on me. I'm not myself. Help?!"

He nodded, "I see. I know what you need. And since it's Friday, we can do this."

I raised my eyebrow and said, "Uh, what exactly do you have in mind?"

"We need a few things tho-"

"We are NOT skinny dipping, Hunter!" He shook his head and laughed. I laughed along too. Silly, me.

"No, babe. You need a swimsuit. I need a truck." I was getting his drift...mudding.

"Okay then... After school?" I asked. I became very jumpy; I got a weird eye from a few people walking by.

He smiled, "You got it. See you then." He leaned over and kissed my temple. Unexpectingly, pulled him into a tight hug and whispered,

"Thank you...for everything." He pecked the top of my head.

"No problem, Em." Hunter pulled away and pointed at me. "Love ya, girl." A smile grew on his face as he turned away. I waved goodbye and let my arm swing down by my side.
