Chapter 15

Demi's Pov

"Uhmm liar" Kate coughed

That's it I've had enough, I had spoken to Kate in private and I had found out the truth but this time I wasn't taking any of it "EXCUSE ME!" I shouted

"WHAT?" Kate shouted back

"WHY ARE YOU SO RUDE!" I shouted back

"No Demi stop!" Callie said trying to pull me back down to the table

"EXCUSE ME!" Kate shouted back at me

"WHY ARE YOU SO RUDE!" I shouted back

Just then she lunged for me and staff had to pull her away, one of the staff obviously knew what Kate was capable of so she pulled her alarm and even more staff flooded into the room. It took about 4 staff to hold her down and try and calm her down, without succeeding before another member of staff rushed in with some fluids to calm her down. She injected in into her and as she did Kate gave me the most horrible look and I knew that meant that she was going to have it in for me as well.

Kate was then taken out of the room and up to her room as the fluids that she was given would more than certainly make her sleep.

Callie and I continued eating our breakfast. "Don't say I didn't warn you" Callie said

"What do you mean?" I asked

"You know what!" She said 

I gave her a puzzled look 

"I saw the look that Kate gave you. That's the same look that she gave me when she saw me on her first day."

"Oh" I replied becoming a little scared "Let's just stay away from her"

"That won't work" Callie replied "She will hunt you down and make you feel horrible if that's what she wants to do" 

"This is bad" I said

"It defiantly is. It's one thing her having a bad thing for me, but, both of us?"

"I know, I was only helping you and I didn't really say anything bad I just asked why she was being so rude"

"But that's obviously enough to annoy her" Callie replied

Just then a member of staff walked up to our table "Demi can I speak to you once you've finished your breakfast?"

"Yeah sure" I replied

"Come to your normal therapy room, I'll be in there" she said before walking away

I finished my breakfast, said goodbye to Callie before heading off in the direction of my normal therapy room. 

When I got there the door was open and the member of staff that had come to ask me to speak to her was sitting at one end of the room and there was a chair opposite her. I walked in and closed the door. 

"Hey Demi" the women said

"Hi" I replied

"Now..." she started "I wanted to talk to you, get your side of the story as to what's been going on between you and Kate"

I thought to myself that the staff must be completely oblivious to what has been going on between Callie and Kate but as I made a scene they notice that something is going on between me and Kate. Figures.

"Well..." I started "Callie has said that.

"I don't want to hear about Callie" the women cut me off

"I will get to me" I said calmly, but slowly losing my patience with her already

"Callie said that Kate has always had it in for her since Kate's first day. Me and Callie were talking in our room about girly stuff" I said lying a little, I wasn't going to tell her what we were actually talking about and blow Callie's cover. No way!

"And Kate was listening from outside our room..."

"How do you know this?" the lady asked

"Well....because Kate called Callie a pathological liar the next day and after everything kicked off between them two I went to find Kate and I asked her why she thought that Callie was a pathological liar"

"Okay" the lady said, while she was writing some notes

"Kate must have misheard though because nothing that Callie and I were talking about could have been interrupted as Callie lying about anything. Either she misheard or she is making stuff up" I said, again not wanting to blow Callie's cover.

"So..." she said "How does this connect to today?"

"Well...in the dining room this morning Kate walked past and said Uhmm liar. So...I stood up and said EXCUSE ME" 

"Yes" she said acknowledging what I had said

"She then asked what I had said and I asked her why she was being so rude and then she lunged at me and kicked off"

"Okay thank you Demi" she said as she finished writing her notes "That's okay you can go" she said

I got up and walked out of the room and walked towards my room. When I got there Callie was sitting on her bed listening to music. When I walked in she pulled out her earbuds and asked what they wanted. I told her that they wanted to know what happened and they wanted my side of the story.

"You didn't tell them about me, did you?" she asked getting worried

"Of course not!" I replied "I said that we were talking about girly stuff"

"Good" she said

I turned around and then walked towards the door, just to make sure that no-one was standing there listening. I knew that Kate wouldn't be as she is most likely sleeping because of the fluids that she was given. But just to make sure I checked. There was no-one there. Good.

Callie got up, leaving her iPod on the bed and she gave me a hug "Thank you" she said

Callie let go as we heard footsteps coming up the stairs, she jumped back and sat down on her bed, putting her earbuds in and pretending that she was just listening to her music. I ran and sat down at my desk. We both knew that giving each other hugs wasn't allowed here, the staff would deem that as wrong.

Elaine the walked in and said "Girls time for dinner"

"Okay" we both replied in unison

We both then got up sighed a sigh of relief and made our way down to dinner.
