Big changes

Chapter 7

It's the night of the premiere. I'm excited but nervous at the same time. I put on my dress and some flats. I go to the bathroom and brush my hair. How should I wear my hair. I'm about to knock on Jai's door when I hear his voice. "I miss you too" he says. Who's he talking to? "I love you too,bye!" I hear him get up and I rush back into the bathroom. That was close. Jai walks in, "you ready for tonight?" "Yea" I respond. I put my hair in a bun with a black headband.
We catch a limo to the premier. "Stay close to me ok?" Jai tells me I nod.
Jai's pov
Tonight's the premier. I'm kinda nervous. I don't want Ellie to get lost in the crowd, or the reporters questions are annoying sometimes too. I grab her hand and rush into the crowd. The lights start flashing and people start calling my name. I walk over with Ellie, "jai who's this?" "Everyone this is Ellie my daughter." I say. We walk away to be meet by more cameras. I looked down at Ellie and I could tell she was a little scared. I bent down, "hey, it's ok little monkey." She nods and hugs me, I hug back. I pick her up and carry her to meet the cast maybe seeing theo will cheer her up.
I walk over and see the cast. "Jai!" They yell. I walk over to them "hey guys" "is that Ellbell?" Theo asks, "yea" I say handing her to him. She looks up from his shoulder to see him and she smiles and hugs him. She was happy the rest of the night and so was I.

Jai's pov
I wake up to my phone ringing. I pick it up "hello" "hey baby brother its me Emily" "hey em, what's up" "Um mom is at the hospital in a coma" I drop the phone and put my head in my hands. I can't believe this is happening. I just talked to her yesterday. "Jai" "what" "you need to come down here." "Ok I will as soon as I can" "bring Ellie" "why wouldn't I" "bye jai see you soon" "bye"
I go into Ellie's room, she's still sleeping. I go and make breakfast. Ellie comes out soon later. "Hey" she says but I don't respond. We eat breakfast in silence. "Jai what's wrong?" " I don't want to talk about it" "what happened, tell me please, I'm going to keep annoying you" "fine my moms in a coma, and they don't think she's going to wake up." Her face turns sad. She comes over to me and sits on my lap, and wraps her arms around my neck. "I'm sorry" I put my head down, me and my mom were tight. When my dad left she helped me through it, and she is my biggest fan. I love her so much I don't know what I would do if we lost her. "We have to go to Seattle, to see her" "ok let's go"
Ellie's pov
Omg. Now I feel really bad. That's who he was talking to yesterday. I get my suitcase and pack. Jai goes to his room and does the same.
Jai's pov
I was going to fly down there next week with Ellie to surprise her, and for her to meet Ellie. I pack and get the plane tickets. I load the stuff into the car and we are off. Justin timberlake comes on and Ellie starts to sing, I smile, she looks over, and smiles. She knows how to make me smile.
We are on the plane, Ellie has the window seat. I read my script for my next movie which is jack reacher. ( a/n I know he did that movie way before divergent but just go with it)
When we land I take the bags and hail a cab. "Winterwood hospital" I say. I look out the window the whole time. When we arrive I take our bags and walk in. "How may I help you?" "I'm looking for Mrs. Hanna Courtney" "she's down the hall to the left" I run with Ellie behind me and open the door to see my sister with tears in her eyes. "She's gone" the doctor says. I drop to the floor. My heart just stopped. I was to late. I don't want to live any more I just can't. What am I going to do.
