Chapter 14

I jam on the gas to the hospital. This can't be happening. I can't lose her, she's my everything. I park and pull Ellie into my arms, I run into the hospital. I run up the front desk" she passed out, I don't know what to do" "Come with me" she leads me to a room"I'm getting the doctor be right back" I lay Ellie on the bed and kiss her forehead"I love you Ellie, please stay with me". The doctor comes and checks her out. He goes into the other room, and comes back in."jai Ellie has slipped into a coma, and she might not come out" no no no this can't be happening. I put my face into my hands. Tears fall from my eyes. I look up to see the doctor left. I decide to text my friends "guys come to the hospital" "ok" they all say.
10 minutes later there is a knock on the door."come in" the door opens and Justin and Jimmy walk in. Justin comes over to me and gives me a hug. "She might not wake up" "she will, she's a strong girl" "I know but I just can't think of life without her." "You're not going to lose her".
I sit down in the chair right next to her. Justin and Jimmy left. I can't lose her. She's my life. I grab her limp hand. "Ellie please stay with me, I need you in my life, I love you so much."

I wake up the next morning in the chair I was in last night. The doctor comes in"jai, we don't think she will wake up, we are unplugging her in 2 days" I nod. No this can't happen. The doctor leaves. I take Ellie's hand in mine and hold it while putting my face in my hands. That's when her hand moves. "Ellie" her blue eyes open and look at me "jai" she croaks. "I'm here el" "what happened?" "You passed out at the premiere, and were in a coma, you almost died" her eyes go wide. "Oh" I get up and give her a kiss on the forehead and a hug. "Jai?" "Hmm" I reply turning around. "Can you lay with me ?" I nod and she scoots over for me to have room, I lay down with her and put my arm around her shoulders. She lays her head on my arm and cuddles into me. I fall asleep, and it the best sleep I have ever had for days because I know Ellie is alive right next to me.
Next morning...
Ellie's pov
I wake up in the hospital bed next to jai.
I sit up and stretch, and jai opens his eyes.
"Hey el" "hi" "you ok" "can we leave please?" "Yea lets go" I get up out if bed and follow jai out of the door. We get in the car and drive home.
When we get home, I lay on the couch and listen to some JT music. I put it on shuffle and fall asleep soon after.
Jai's pov
3 months later.........
Life couldn't be better. Me and Ellie went on to the tonight show and had a blast. She is now in 6th grade. Basketball season is up, her team is 2-0. "Jai hurry up, we are going to be late to school!!" "Ok I'm coming" I shout and run out of my room and grab my car keys. I grab her basketball bag and we are off to school.
Ellie's pov
School is so boring. I just want to go to basketball. I'm so excited for today's game. We are against are biggest rival-the Hawks.
The bell rings and I rush down to the gym. I change into my uniform and walk out with my teammates. We start with layups and them move to shooting and dribbling and last but not least pick and rolls. "Everybody over here!" All of us run over to couch. "We are going to have Ellie as point, Abi and Katie as the wings and julia and Rachel as post. Jules" "who are we!" "Rams" "who are we!" "Rams" "one two three Rams" all five of us rush on to the court. I look into the crowd to see jai, with Justin, Jimmy, theo, and tom. They all see me and wave giving me thumbs up as well. Rachel tips it to me and I dribble down the court. I cut down the middle do my spin move and score. "Let's go Ellie!" I don't have to turn around to know that it is Justin.
Halftime.....
I go to the bleachers and sit down on Jai's lap. He pays me ok the back. "Ellie, awesome job!" I get high fives from all of them. "How many points?" "14"
We won!! By 1 foul shot!! Yay!!!
I go home and do my homework. Me and jai have dinner and we watch tv on the couch. I lay my head in his lap and he wraps his arm around me.
I soon drift off into darkness.
Jai's pov
Ellie falls asleep in my lap. I carry her to bed and kiss her forehead. I go to my room and fall asleep as soon as my head hit the pillow.
