Chapter 10

Jai's pov
Ellie is at school and I'm at an interview for insurgent.
The interview goes well and I go home to go thorough my script for my new movie.   
Ring ring!
I unlock my phone, and answer the call
J-hello
M- hi jai its mrs. Jones, I'm calling about Ellie.
J- yea,she's the best, I love her so much.
M- her parents have asked to see her, and they have the option to adopt her from you.
J- they left her.
M- I know. But they are allowed to see her.
J- alright what time?
M- tonight at 6. At the shelter.
J- alright see you then.
M- thanks jai
I hang up, how am I going to tell Ellie. Just now Ellie walks through the door. "Hey el. How was school?" "Fun, I scored 3 baskets in gym, and got an a on my social studies test." "That's awesome" I reply, "Ellie could you come here there's something we need to talk about." "Ok" she sits down and sits Indian style facing me. "Don't be mad at me ok" "ok" mrs.jones called me, and said that your parents want to see you, and they have the option to adopt you from me. " "no, I don't want to see them, they left me. I want to stay with you jai. " "I know little monkey, but it's out of my hands.""ok" "we have to meet them at the shelter at 6" "alright, I'm going to do my homework" "ok, we're leaving in 30" "ok". I feel bad for her, seeing her real parents who left her for the first time in like 6 or 7 years.  She's in the kitchen doing her homework. And I'm watching tv and going over my script.
Ellie comes out and we leave for the shelter. "Jai I want to stay with you" "I know, I don't want you to leave, I'll see what I can do"she nods and puts her head against the window.
We arrive at the shelter and walk in. Mrs jones greets us,"they are in the room to the left." "Ok" I respond grabbing Ellie's hand and walking towards the room. I open the door and there they are. "Ellie" her mom says and comes up and hugs her. Ellie grips my hand and doesn't hug her mom. She breaks the hug and we all sit down. "How old are you?" "10" "hobbies?" "Reading and sports" "do you miss us" she doesn't hesitate "no" and she leans her head on my shoulder and cuddles into me. I wrap my arm around her. "Do you like living with jai?" "Yea, he's the best, unlike you guys" "we're sorry" "yea ok" I can tell she doesn't believe them. "Ellie please come home with us" "no, I want to live with jai" I pull her onto my lap and wrap my arms around her. "Jai do you love her?" her dad finally asks. "Of course I do, i love her so much words can't describe. She's the best thing that has ever happen to me" "well Ellie you can live with jai, we love you" Ellie doesn't respond, she grabs my hand and pulls me out of the room. I pick her up and run to the car. She laughing her head off. "Ellie do you want to go see Justin?" "Yes!!!! And theo?" "Alright, we are meeting them at our house ok?" "Ok" they are like big brothers to her. We drive home with Ellie singing along to all the songs. I just look at her. And BOOM. A car hits us head on and I black out with my hand in Ellie's.
