5 years later......
Ellie's pov
I'm now in 10th grade, I'm the star of my high school basketball team. I have a boyfriend, which jai doesn't like to much. Jai is married to my new mom, her name in Jessica. She ok I guess, she kinda doesn't leave jai alone with me that much. "El come down, someone is here to see you" I hear jai yell. "Coming" I yell back, I rush down stairs to see Justin, "Justin!" I yell and run up to him and jump into his arms. I haven't seen him since he went on tour 8 months ago for the 20/20 experience. He has texted me, but it's not the same. He's my best friend. "I've missed you"I say still hugging him"me too el". We break the hug and Justin gives jai and Jess a hug. We all sit down on the couch and talk me sitting next to Justin and leaning my head on his shoulder. "El you want to go shoot some hoops?" "Yea, you ready to get your butt kicked timberlake." "No, it's you that is going to get your butt kicked Courtney" I run up stairs and change into a pair of basketball shorts and a Memphis Grizzlies shirt that Justin got me and my Nikes with elite socks. I walk out to the backyard and find Justin shooting hoops. He has his Memphis Grizzlies shirt on with shorts and Nikes. He turns around and sees that's we are wearing the same outfit. "twinning!!" He yells. We high five, "you ready to go down Courtney" "you're on timberlake" . I start with and dribble and cut to the basket for a layup.
We play for a couple hours, I end up winning. We lay in the middle of the drive way. "So, how's it going? With jai and Jess?" "Ok I guess, she doesn't give me and him any alone time. He doesn't talk to me as much. Justin I just want my dad back. I don't like Jess" "I'm sorry kid" he says wrapping his arm around my shoulders. I hear footsteps behind us and I turn around to see jai. "Hey guys" I don't respond "hey man" Justin says to make it less awkward. He comes and sits next to me. "Justin could you let us talk alone?" "Yea" he said walking away. "El are you ok?" "No jai. I'm not, you are with Jess all the time, never with me. You don't talk to me that much either. You're with her. I just want the old jai back." "El. I'm sorry. Here let's go inside. " he said while helping me up.
That night
Me and jai watched scary movies together. Just me and him. I lay my head on his shoulder. When something scary would happen I would bury my face into his chest. The movie ends and jai calls Jess "babe you there" he says. He hangs up and grabs his coat "where are you going" "el come with me" I follow him out the door into the car.
We drive to his managers house and see Jess's car. He walks in and comes out soon after. He sits down and puts his head in his hands. "What happened?" "She cheated on me" "I'm so sorry" "I thought she loved me" "who couldn't love you. You're the best" "thanks el" we drive home and go to bed.
