"why do we even have to go shopping? Can't we just order everything online?" jason asked annoyed as he opened the car door ready to get in, Alison already sat in the passengers seat waiting for him to stop moaning. 
"is that what you have been doing for the past months when dad was constantly MIA?" Alison glanced at jason very slowly putting his key in the ignition. 
"yeah, maybe, i mean NO! Don't be so silly" he said jokingly. 
"well explains why you've been feeding of cereals ever since I got back from the..." alison swallowed hard and fastened her seat belt. 

As they got to the mall, Alison walked off to a clothing store and left jason with a list of things to buy. He was glad to see alison back in her natural habitat of shopping and doing all the girly things again, he smiled to himself and walked towards the shop. 

As he cruised through the shop, picking things he needed to get off the shelves, he noticed a coke bottle with the name jason written on it, he also found alison, he thought it would be a good idea to get one, not sure why, he's a grown up now and getting excited over a coke bottle with his name written on it was pretty childish, although he couldn't help himself, the same way he couldn't help himself to look for the name ARIA. He obviously didn't find it, Aria was a quite unique of names. He shook his head as he realized it was probably wrong of him to think of aria this way, it would be like dating his sister. Eww! it's not like that, it's just a tiny crush, I'll get over it he said to himself over anf over again. 

"dammit" someone whispered from a valley to the right. Jason couldn't believe his eyes, he looked around to make sure he wasn't just seeing things.It was aria. She stood on her tiptoes trying to reach something off of the top shelf. jason left his trolley where it was and quitly snuck up behind Aria, he stood right behind her and leaned his ribbed body on her to get set of paintbrushes from the top shelf.  Aria turned around to see jason, her body tingled and suddenly she felt so warm as if she walked past a massive radiator. she smelt a whiff of his strong lemon shower gel with a mixture of cologne water. 

"OMG jason you scared me, do you want me to have a heart attack?!!" she screamed hitting him in the chest. 
" so you want those paint brushes or not?" he laughed as he held them close to his chest. 
" i do i do" she said with a huge grin on her face as she tried to grab the brushes off from him, but he held them tightly, she rested her hand on his chest and looked him straight in the eyes, he caught her glance and recipricated the look. Aria opened her mouth to speak but no words came out. 
" I guess that makes us engagaed haha " jason joked  trying to release the tension. 
Aria took her hand of his chest and looked around her not knowing what to say. 
"... I'm joking, you said..." Jason got interupted by Aria.
" it's going to take more than just me using you for your height to tie the knot you know" Aria finally replied. 
" well it's hardly using me, if i don't mind besides any time, but wait "going to" ? does that mean i have a chance?" Jason tried to seem as casual as possibly asking this but in reality he was dying to know. 
"arrrrr ... ummm well I actually wanted to talk to you about Alison" Aria lied, she flinched her eyes, she wanted to see jason, she wanted to spend time with him, simply because he was the only one to put a smile on her face recently, all of her friends are busy with preparing for college and Jason was just there, it was really refreshing to talk to someone who didn't constantly ask her if she was okay, and someone that was so damn god-like. Aria always liked Jason and the one time she had a chance to be with him she screwed it up for Ezra, the guy who was spying on her for all those years. Just thinking about it made her angry. 
"how about we have go to the brew or something? this time we won't even have to share the lemon cake" Jason suggested. He would rather take her out for a proper date but he didn't know how she felt about him and it's probably just him thinking there's something, it's got to be his mind just playing up again, the same way it did the last time 2 years ago, and well all the times before when he was trying to hopelessly flirt with her even though he knew they couldn't be a thing due to the age gap. 
"OMG aria please tell me my brother is not trying to hit on you?" They both turn around upon hearing alison and smile awkwardly.
