I sighed in anticipation as I opened the closet. I was surprised to find a few clothes there. I scoffed. Gabriel was trying way too hard in my opinion. I shook my head and chose a pair of black slacks and a red shirt to go with it. I touched up my lipstick and fixed my hair before I went downstairs to the bar. It was full of men, as usual - big shocker there! I saw Dean and Sam sitting down at a table. Dean was chatting up one of the few women in there and she was literally fawning over him. I could see Sam's eyes rolling. Her friend was trying to get Sam's attention and I could see he was feeling uncomfortable. Overall, the scene was hilarious.

"Hey boys, starting the party without me?" I asked with a smirk. I looked at the two girls and they weren't giving me very friendly looks.

"Hey Lil, uh...these are Janine and uh, Molly Sue," replied Dean with a grin. I couldn't believe he actually remembered their names until both girls spoke at the same time.

"It's Jenny!"

"It's Mary Ann!"

"Yeah sorry, whatever," he muttered. I had to laugh.

"Ladies, this is Lily, she works with us." The girls both gave me smiles of acknowledgement but I could still sense the hostility underneath those smiles.

"Work with them? What do you do exactly?" asked one of them, evidently surprised.

"We're a sort of secret police service. Don't tell anyone because we're on a very important case right now and should anyone blow our cover, we would immediately have to get rid of them," I replied in a hushed and serious tone. Both their eyes went wide in shock. They were visibly scared and they immediately nodded to show they would keep our secret. I could feel Dean and Sam's mirth trying to spill out but we all kept our composure and seriousness. Just then, I felt a very familiar presence.

"Ladies, gents, excuse me," I said as I turned round to see Bucky come in with his soldier friends.

Bucky had spent his whole day trying not to think of Lily but it was quite impossible.

"Buck, what's wrong with you?" asked Steve.

"Haven't you heard? He was in very good company all night," replied another soldier who was at the bar the previous night.

"Shut up," mumbled Bucky. Steve simply shook his head. He knew Bucky was a ladies' man but this was the first time he saw him so distracted after he'd been with a woman.

"She must be special then," teased Steve.

"Oh not you too!" sighed Bucky before laughing. They went back to work. He tried his best to focus on the tasks at hand but he was hoping the day would be over soon so he could go back to the bar and see if she was there.

Finally, the time came and they could leave the base. He rushed to his quarters to get cleaned up before they all went to the bar. Steve made it a point to go with him so he could see who this dame was.

And there they were at the bar's entrance, his heart was beating erratically. What if she wasn't there, what if she was but she didn't want to see him today? Steve pushed him inside for he could see his best friend was feeling nervous. His nerves subsided immediately as soon as he saw her facing him with a smile on her face. He smiled back and she walked up to him. He didn't know whether he should hug her or kiss her so he didn't do anything and simply greeted her with his best smile.

"Hey doll." She instead opted for throwing her arms around his neck and kissing him passionately before she parted from him.

"Hello soldier," she whispered. Cat calls were heard. He wasn't disappointed, or embarrassed though, rather he was very pleased she'd greeted him like that.

"Lily, I'd like you to meet my best bud Steve. Steve, this is Lily," he said, never taking his eyes off her. He watched her turn her gaze to his friend and she greeted him with a smile.

"Nice to meet you, Steve," she said as she shook his hand.

"You too, Lily. I can see why Bucky likes you, a lot!" he said with a teasing smile at his best friend. They all laughed but her face changed suddenly into one of confusion and fear. It only lasted a few seconds before she plastered on a smile again and released his hand.

Just awesome! Awesome moment to get a premonition of all moments! I saw both Steve and Bucky's future and it wasn't pretty. Bucky seemed to notice something was off so he excused us both and he pulled me to a quiet spot at the bar.

"Are you okay? It looked like something happened back there," he said. Crap! I put on my best smile and shook my head.

"Yeah, I'm okay. It was nothing important," I lied.

"Are you sure? It didn't look like something unimportant," he urged gently as he rubbed circles with his thumb on my hand. It soothed me more than he could ever imagine. I nodded.

"Don't worry about it." He looked at me as if contemplating whether I was really okay or not but he dropped it.

"Hey, wanna dance?" he said with a smile, changing the subject. This made me smile back, genuinely this time.

"I'd love to," I replied and let him lead me to the dance floor. A slow jazz song was playing. He wrapped one arm around my waist and pulled me into him. I placed one hand on his shoulder. With his other hand, he took my free hand and pulled it close to his heart.

"I'm really glad you're here tonight," he whispered as he looked into my eyes.

"Me too," I replied with a small smile. It was as if there was nobody else but us in that moment. I eventually rested my head against his chest as we continued to dance.

"Hey, you hungry?" asked Bucky a few dances later. Lily lifted her head and nodded with a smile.

"I know this really great place just round the corner that stays open quite late. Wanna go there?"

"Yes, I just need to let my colleagues know and then we can go," she replied. She pulled away but didn't let go of his hand. She pulled him towards the table where Sam and Dean were sitting, still in the company of those young girls.

"We're just gonna go grab a bite to eat. I'll see you boys tomorrow," she said.

"Hey, that's a great idea! I'm starving. We could come with," said Dean enthusiastically before he yelled in pain. It seemed that Sam had kicked him under the table and gave him a look that clearly said that Lily and Bucky wanted to be alone.

"Or we could go elsewhere..." he said weakly, wincing slightly.

"Yeah, good idea," said Lily, trying to stifle her laughter. These boys were just too much sometimes. So Bucky and Lily walked out of the bar to go eat. He took her hand and wrapped it around his arm. Lily smiled at the gentlemanly gesture. She let him lead her to the cafeteria. It wasn't too full but it wasn't that empty either.

He led her to an empty table which was slightly more secluded. Both of them looked at the menu and quickly decided what they wanted to eat. A waitress came soon after to take their order.

"Triple cheeseburger with a large side of fries and a large chocolate malt, please," said Lily. Bucky stared at her and blinked a few times. He thought he'd heard wrong. None of the girls he'd ever gone out with ever ate anything more than a salad.

"Hey, Buck...what do you want?" asked Lily, effectively snapping him out of his trance. He shook his head and grinned.

"Same as her, please," he replied finally. He looked at her with renewed awe.

"What?" she asked with a raised eyebrow.

"Nothing...it's just really refreshing to hear a girl order something other than a salad," he laughed. She burst out laughing.

"Why would I want to eat a salad? I have a very high impact job and a very fast metabolism rate. If I don't eat like this, I'd waste away," she explained, "Besides...I hate salads!"

"Fair enough. So what do you do?" he asked, genuinely interested. She looked at him as if contemplating whether to tell him or not.

"I'm an off-the-grid secret service person, like my colleagues. We hunt bad guys," she said. Technically, she wasn't lying. She just didn't tell him what kind of bad guys they hunted.

"What like the FBI?" he asked.

"Kind of...but not exactly," she replied, "I can't really say much more than that, I'm sorry." He nodded in understanding but he was very impressed nonetheless. He saw what she did the night before to that drunk guy so he didn't doubt her skills.

"This is definitely different," he chuckled. She smiled.

"You mean, getting to know someone after you sleep with them?" she said. He nodded and smiled.

"It happens," she continued, "So tell me Bucky...where did you get this nickname?"

"It's short for Buchanan, my middle name," he replied. Just then, the waitress returned with their orders. They both thanked her before she left and started eating.

"So, James Buchanan Barnes...what is your purpose in life?" asked Lily.

"Right now? To help fight and end this war once and for all," he replied seriously. Lily gave him a soft smile which didn't quite reach her eyes.

"What about you?" he asked. She frowned slightly.

"To help people feel as safe as possible and avoid so many deaths," she replied with a sad expression before she smiled slightly. Bucky reached for her hand and squeezed it before he stroked it with his thumb.

"You are definitely something...nothing like I've ever seen before," he commented suddenly.

"How do you mean?" she asked with a head tilt.

"I don't know...there's just something about you that is different to everyone else. Don't get me wrong, that's a very good thing," he said with a twinkle in his eye. This brought a happy smile to her face which he was glad of.

"Thanks, I guess," she replied, "By the way, you were right. This is really good food!"

"Told you so," he laughed. He watched her grab a fry and wave it in front of him. They were both leaning close to each other to somehow increase the intimacy in the crowded place.

"So...what is your favourite colour?" she asked. He took the fry with his mouth and grinned.

"It used to be blue but I think I'm starting to like red better," he smirked as he lowered his eyes to her chest teasingly.

"Hey, eyes up here," she laughed.

"What about yours?"

"I like purple a lot...and black. How about music?"

"Jazz, swing and classical."

"Classical? You? I would not have pegged you for the type to like classical music," she replied with a surprised look on her face.

"Why not?" She shrugged.

"I don't know...I guess this is where the saying don't judge a book by its cover comes in, huh?"

He shook his head and laughed, "What about you?"

"I like all kinds but yeah, I like jazz and classical too; when I have time to listen to it that is," she replied with a smile.

"Yeah, I know what you mean," he said before they sat and ate in silence for a little while.

"Where are you going after you've finished whatever you're working on at the moment?" he suddenly asked. Lily's heart sank but she looked up at him nonetheless.

"I'm not sure...wherever the job takes us, we'll go there," she replied.

"You really did mean it when you said you move around a lot," he stated. She nodded sadly.

"If I could, I would take you away from it all, just leave it all behind," he said as he took her hands in his. She tilted her head at him. She thought that what he'd just said was very sweet and deep down, she wished it could happen someday.

"If I could, I would gladly run away with you," she whispered before she leaned over and gave him a soft kiss.

They continued talking and once they'd finished their dinner, she took him back to her room where they once again made love all night.
