"How much time do we have?" asked Bucky, once we were seated.
"I've got to be back by 11pm," I replied. We sat there in silence for a few minutes before Bucky started a conversation that didn't stop until it was time for us to leave and go back to the bar. We got to know each other better. We laughed together. The more I got to know him, the more I felt myself falling for him. This was exactly what Dean had warned me about but I couldn't help my feelings and I didn't want to either...

Bucky felt himself fall for Lily with every passing second. He was falling harder and faster. He couldn't help it. For the life of him, he never wanted this to end but he knew it would. He didn't know how he'd take it after both of them parted ways. He vowed to make the next few days count. Even if he was to never see her again, he would be grateful for the few days he got to spend with her.

"There they are!" I whispered as soon as I saw two dark figures appear out of nowhere.
"What time is it?" asked Dean.
"It's one in the morning. Last night they were here an hour earlier..." replied Sam.
"Maybe that was because they brought the new corpse in?" I offered.
"Whatever the reason, we can't be sure this is always the time they come in. We need to know when they leave too..." suggested Dean. We all nodded in agreement. Just one night staking them out wasn't enough. We had to be absolutely sure that they weren't there when we went in.
"We can't really let them keep doing this though either!" I said with disgust.
"What do you suggest we do?" he asked. I thought about it for a while and then I grinned evilly. Dean caught the look I had on from the rear-side mirror.
"Oh oh...I know that look. What are you gonna do?"
"Just leave it to me boys," I replied simply, still with the eerie smile, "I assure you that they will never try this again, after I'm through with them."
"Oh boy..." muttered Dean.
It wasn't until around 3.30am that the people left the house. What the hell were they doing for two and a half hours! We were completely stumped.
"Tomorrow night we need to see what the hell they're doing in there," mumbled Sam as Dean started the car and followed the figures. We followed them to a house about a mile away. We stayed watch until we were sure that they weren't going anywhere else. We drove back to the motel and we all tried to get a few hours of sleep we went back to watch them.
"Um...excuse me miss," called out the landlord, early next morning. I turned my head and noticed he was calling me specifically.
"Yes?" I asked walking over.
"A Mrs Jennings called yesterday with a message for you," he explained as he handed me a piece of paper. I read the paper and realised that this Mrs Jennings was the old lady's neighbour. She'd called back, as she'd promised, with details of the funeral.
"Thanks!" I replied before making my way over to the boys, "Guys...we've got a date, tomorrow. And guess what! No wake...just a closed-casket ceremony and a burial."
"Figures," said Sam as he took the paper in his hand. The funeral would be held the next day at three in the afternoon.
"Okay...nothing changes except for the fact that you attend the funeral," said Dean as he looked directly at me, "Let's go." We all drove back to the house. About an hour later, both figures - a man and a woman - walked out. The man got into a car and was probably off to work while the woman started walking in the opposite direction...who knows where she was off to.
"I'll follow the woman," I said before I got out of the car and left Sam and Dean to follow the man. I followed her all the way to a beauty salon in the town centre. I rolled my eyes. I'd have to go in and pretend I'm a customer. I hated these things. I sighed and pushed the door open and found an empty seat next to her. She offered me a smile. Well, at least she seemed polite. I nodded in acknowledgement and smiled back at her.
"How may I help you?" asked a woman all dressed in pink. I raised an eyebrow but said nothing except, "Um...would you happen to have a list of the services you provide?" The woman beamed and nodded. She hopped off to the reception desk and came back with a few brochures.
"Thanks..." I said and started to pretend to look at them.
"I suggest the Glamour Bonnet treatment*," whispered the woman next to me. I raised an eyebrow. I had no clue what she was talking about but I pretended I did.
"Have you tried it before?" I asked nonchalantly. She grinned and nodded.
"It works wonders for your skin. Then again, you don't really need it. You have truly beautiful skin!" she exclaimed quietly.
"Um, thank you. What are you having done today, if I may ask?"
"Just a permanent. Must keep the hair looking fashionable," she replied. I nodded slowly. I wonder if these women realised the damage they were doing to their hair and skin with all these shitty products and machines.
"I think I'll have to take these home with me and decide later because I'm not quite sure what I wanna do," I said, "Besides...I shouldn't really be here anyway but I don't know what I'm going to do. I've just lost a dear person to me." I pretended to look as vulnerable and depressed as possible. She fell for it.
"Oh you poor dear! I understand what you are going through. I have lost my dear aunt just a couple of days ago."
"Really? So did my friend. Could it be the same person? Her name is...was...Nancy Black," I added. Bingo! She flinched slightly when I said the name. She stared at me open-mouthed for a few moments before she spoke.
"That's my auntie. Terrible, isn't it! She died, just like that! And she was all alone. So sad. How did you know her dear?"
"I used to visit her every once in a while whenever I'd be in town," I lied. The woman gave me a pitying look. She didn't really look all that sorry about her aunt's death, funnily enough.
"I see. Well, tomorrow afternoon's her funeral if you would like to come," she offered. I nodded.
"Yes, I would. A neighbour of hers let me know when and where it will be...I feel I should ask; how are you holding up?"
"Oh, it's all very sad of course but I like to think that she's still with us," she said with a creepy smile. To other people, it would have looked like a kind one but I knew better. I forced a smile and stood up.
"Well, it was very nice to meet you, ma'am. I should get going. I guess I'll be seeing you tomorrow then," I said.
"Oh of course dear. Call me Jessica," she said.
"Martha," I responded, lying about my name, before leaving the salon. I felt my skin crawl as I left. People were friends with this person and they had no clue about her extra-curricular activities. I walked back to the motel quickly. The boys weren't back yet so I went down to the cafe around the corner to grab a bite to eat. I tried not to think too much about the case. I thought of Bucky and how his day was possibly going.
"Hey, earth to Lily!"
I snapped out of my daydream, or should I say fantasy, and looked up. It was Sam and Dean. They'd come back from following the man from the house.
"Hey, sorry! How did it go?" I asked.
"Nothing much. He went to work and not much else. What about you?" asked Sam. I explained what had happened and I could see that they visibly shivered at how the conversation had gone.
"Fucking creepy folks!" mumbled Dean.
"Yeah! Tell me about it. So, what time are we leaving tonight?"
"Same as last night. I'm hoping we get this over with in the next few days," he replied. Both Sam and I nodded with a sigh. This case was even more messed up than we'd first thought. We shuddered at the thought of the corpses still being in that abandoned house in our time...after 70 or so years!
Once I'd finished eating, I went back to the motel to take a shower and get changed. It was around five in the afternoon. Bucky and his friends would be coming to the bar soon. That thought made me smile. I'd be finished by the time he'd arrive.
