Years ago...

The young woman stood holding a key out panting. The demon smiled as she looked defiantly up at it.
"Gate of the sky guardian, I open thee" She shouted the key glowing as she pointed it towards the sky "Aria"
She suddenly froze, and started coughing, she fell to her knees starting to shake. Why do I feel so weak?,she thought scared.
"Aria, the sky guardian" The demon growled laughing "Those who have much power can open her gate. Your weak" the demon slammed a hand over the mage, she screamed in pain the demon's smirk just widened. "Your pathetic" he picked the mage up by her neck "Your useless" he threw her across the city and her back slammed into a building.
She tried to sit up but collapsed. She lifted the key up."I open thee" she tried again "A-"
Her arm dropped and she couldn't move, it even hurt her eyes to move. The demon appeared with a foot raised above her. She closed her eyes, feeling a tear drop fall from her face, waiting for the impact.
"Aria!" The demon exclaimed angrily. The Mage looked up and saw the celestial guardian hands stopping the demons foot.
"A-Aria" the Mage coughed weakly. Aria looked at the wizard all beaten up and powerless. The wizard she made a contract with couldn't open her gate. Aria shook, with tears in her eyes she shot upwards pushing the demon along with her. Up it the sky,Aria zipped with the air and punched the demon's gut sending it flying downwards. It roared and landed in the ground cracking the surrounding area. Aria slammed into the ground, and looked at the demon.
"Guardians Secret Art: Sky Punishment" Aria said, it a flash large glowing energy spheres attacked the demon. As soon as the attack ended the demon staggered up.
"Sky Guardian Strike!" Aria exclaimed and shot cleanly through the demon's gut. It stood frozen before falling and disintegrating. 
"Kari!" Aria exclaimed before racing to the Mage.
"I'm okay" Kari said sitting up. Aria shook her head before helping the Mage up.

After walking away the destroyed village. Kari was propped up against a tree. Aria was wetting a towel to disinfect Kari's back. Aria turned towards Kari, she saw how beat up the Mage was.
"Hey, Kari, can you summon nikora, um I mean Nikki" Aria said as she kneeled next to Kari.
"Ah, sure" Kari said confused. She raised the key
"Open gate of the little white dog" she said "Nikora"
Out popped up Nikki (Who resembles Plue).
"Good your power is returning" Aria said relived.
"Yea, next time I'll have enough power to summon you instead of you having to use your own power to come" she said smiling as she looked at Nikki.
Aria frowned as she looked at the towel. Kari looked over at Aria, as she frowned pressing the towel lightly against Kari's back.
Kari looked at Nikki and closed her eyes. After Aria was done, Kair stood up feeling better.
"Thanks Aria" Kari said smiling. Aria pulled her cloak off and handed it to Kari.
"I can withstand the cold you can't" She said.
Kari pulled it on and they kept walking. Though, Kari noticed that something seemed off with Aria.
"Aria, need to talk about it?" Kari asked.Aria looked at Kari and with a pained look she said.
"Kari, I want to break my contract with you"
