Twenty Four

The stars gleamed brightly as two figures stood watching them. 

"It's surprising they are beautiful when you're so ugly," One said in a teasing tone to the other.

"It's surprising how hard I can break your face" the other retorted. 

"Sheesh Aria, you can be scary at times" 

"Sheesh Blaze your annoying all the time" Aria said rolling her eyes. Blaze scoffed. 

This was 40 years ago, before the eclipse and the mages of fairy tail. Aria still didn't discover Kari and had recently gotten Stella as an apprentice. Blaze and Aria were the youngest technically and the happiest. Aria the sky guardian and Blaze the galaxy guardian, a level over Aria. While Aria was linked with the wind and sky magic, Blaze was linked to the planets, the Sun being the major one. 

Aria stood silently, even if she could speak so freely with Blaze she always felt nervous around him, she tried her best to not make it obvious but it was hard. She felt something for Blaze.

"Yo Aria" Blaze said. Aria jumped "Yea?" 

Blaze grabbed Aria and pulled her close to him, Aria gasped as Blaze held her.

"What are you-"

"I just want a hug... " Blaze said softly, Aria could feel the heat of his face close to her. Slowly Aria returned the hug, they stood there silently Aria tried to calm her heartbeat. That is when Blaze did the unexpected. Blaze pulled Aria's face close to his and kissed her deeply, Aria felt her heart explode and the stars shined brightly.
Aria knew now what she felt. She liked Blaze... Loved Blaze.

The memory came back with the feelings. Blaze stood eyes blazing as Aria in chains was held, she glared back.

"Oh what a glare... So cold and distant" Blaze said and walked up to Aria and pulled her face up she was a few inches away from his face. Her heart started to double, Aria tried to slow it down. Blaze rammed her against the wall, holding her against it.

"Calypso, and the rest. They were just pawns, even her ridiculous apprentice who can't even contain his form for too long. And I hear your traveling with mages" he let her go.

"One a celestial mage" Sayo said appearing. Aria's heart now stopped its fast pace as rage started. 

"Oh...get her. Her blood-"Blaze started 

"YOU WON'T GET LUCY!!" Aria roared. Blaze looked at Aria with amusement.

"This Lucy...she sounds intriguing," He said. Aria bottled all the energy she had and pulled with all her might against the chains. 

"I will protect Lucy," she warned.

"But what if you help us against Lucy" Blaze said. Aria snickered and started laughing, "Help you? That's the last thing I do" 

Blaze sent a kick against her face, "Sayo. Get the key and the guardian I'm tired of waiting. We will take over the world....immediately and the lovely Aria will help us"

"You have my key?" Aria asked, her heart dropped.

"Yes. Not so funny anymore right?" Sayo said smirking, "Looks like it is the last thing you will do..." 

Aria pushed that memory away angrily. And the stupid feelings. She gritted her teeth and glared.
