Rachel^^^

I wake up sore all over. I crack my neck and stretch a little before jumping out of the tree and just walk around. Not really caring where I go.

I'm pretty sure I look like a mess. Twigs in my hair, dirt all over my hands and face. My clothes dirty.

I smell peppermint and chocolate but I ignore it and start running. My dad says if you smell something good you run.

You run far and don't stop or look back.

When the smell is gone I continue walking. I shift into my wolf and grab the backpack with my jaws.

I break into a sprint and don't stop.

I just need to run for a while and clear my head. I see a fire in the distance so I decide to go there.

Once I'm there, all eyes are on me. I just want to shout "what are you looking at!" But I need to be...nice...so I can earn their trust.

A little girl that's about eight years old stands up and walks towards me. "You're so beautiful." She whispers. I feel my wolf smile at her.

She pets my soft white fur and I lay down and roll over. She giggles and soon everyone chuckles at my sudden movements.

"WHY IS THERE A ROUGE IN THE TERRITORY!" Someone shouts so loud it makes the little girl cry. The man walks towards my and grabs me by the ear. "Shift now!" He shouts. I put my head down and shift into my human form.

I put on my large shirt and almost everyone gasps. I rub my arm and make eye contact with the beta.

I know he's the beta because of the strong force around him. Why do I keep meeting the betas? He grabs me by the hair and drags me to the I'm guessing dungeon.

Great. (Note the sarcasm).

I knee the man where the sun don't shine and kick him in the face once he's on the ground.

I make a run for it and shift in the process. I hear a loud growl and I'm guessing it's the alpha of the pack. Amazing.

Then I smell the smell. The smell of peppermint and chocolate. Oh no. I run faster. As fast as my legs could carry me. The smell gets stronger. Either I'm running towards him or he's catching up.

I get my answer when I'm tackled to the ground. I fall and feel a sharp pain in the back of my head.

I shake my head and stand up but fall back down. There's a stick in my leg. I shift into my human form and cry out holding onto my leg that is currently in pain. Don't show the enemy you're in pain. My fathers voice fills my head. I take his advice and struggle to stand up.

I see the black alpha wolf and I try to start running again. Pain shoots through my leg with every step I take.

I fall to the ground and the last thing I see is the eyes of the black wolf.

The last thing I hear is my inner wolf saying the word:

Mate.

I wake up in a bed. What? The last time I slept in an actual bed was when I was six. That's like ten years!

I smile at the thought of me sleeping in the bed and I hug the pillow.

Another smell lingers in the room. Peppermint and chocolate fills the air.

What's that smell? Mate. Oh no. I look at the time and see that it's 2:00 am.
