The Mate That Couldn't Love

Chapter 7

When we are out of the borders I turn to Dean and look him In the eyes. "We need to go here." I say and hand him the paper.

"Kate's place?" He asks. I nod my head. "Jay says she could help." I say. "Well if he thinks she can help than lets go." He sighs and we shift into our wolves.

We run to the cottage in the middle of the Dark Woods. When we get there I shift again and we walk in.

"LEAVE NOW! BEFORE IT'S TOO LATE!" A voice booms. Green smoke fills the area and an ugly old woman walks towards us and shouts again.

"LEAVE NOW BEFORE ITS TOO LATE!" She repeats. "JAY WHITE SENT ME!" I shout.

The green smoke vanishes and she looks at me as if I have two heads. "Jay white?" She asks. I nod my head. Then she nods her head. "Come with me."

I follow her into the small cottage. Then she turns around to face us. Now it's my turn to look at her as if she had two heads.

She has dark brown hair and bright green eyes. She's beautiful, not like that ugly old lady I saw 10 seconds ago?

"What's wrong?" She asks. "She can't remember anything." Dean answers for me. She taps her chin and her face lights up.

"Yay!" She claps and goes to a chest. She opens it up and tosses potions around. Then she brings me a purple one.

"Drink it." She orders. I look at the substance and look up at her. She smiles and nods her head.

I look up at Dean and he shrugs. I take off the top and take a sip. "No drink the whole thing, Darling." Kate says. I drink all of it and I feel dizzy.

"You may feel a bit dizzy, Dear. But that because it's working." That's all I hear before I black out.

Dean's P.O.V

I catch Rachel before she falls to the floor. "What happened to her!" I ask Kate.

"Nothing. The potion is working on her. It's going deep into her brain to find the hidden memories." She claps. I shake my head and shift into my wolf.

Kate gets the idea and puts Rachel onto my back. I break out into a sprint back to our house.

What will happen when she wakes up?

Will she remember everything we had?

Will she be the same person?

All these questions fill my mind as I lay her on her bed. She's so beautiful when she's asleep.

"Please be alright." I whisper and kiss her forehead.

This girl means everything to me. Like when I hear that her last name was Scott...that's when I knew that my father was the one who killed her mother.

I feel very bad. And I'll do everything to make it up to her. I love her.

Derik I need you. I tell my wolf Derik. He's been silent since I was 15. I'm 22 now. After our mother was killed by Mary White my father went after her.

After he killed her he wanted to kill Rachel. So Joe can know what it felt like to have nothing.

He still had me but he hates me.

And when I saw that Jay White guy I knew that Rachel was related to him. Also because of the eyes.

I think I figured everything out now.

Jay is Rachel's brother. Joe and Mary were mates. Mary had dirty blonde hair while Joe had dark brown hair.

But after Rachel's mother died her father decided to change her last name to Scott while Jay wanted his last name to stay as White.

I know everything now.

Rachel's arm moves and she starts crying and whimpering. Then she screams before opening her eyes.

She takes a deep breath of air and she freezes and looks over at me. Fear and anger fills her eyes.

"Rache?" I whisper. "D-don't call me that!" She shouts at me. She looks around and when her eyes land on the bed and what she's wearing- which is a big sweater with nothing under it- she looks up at me confused and scared.

"Don't worry we didn't do anything." I say. She breaths a sigh of relief and she immediately gets out of the bed and puts some pants on.

She turn around to face me and then she runs away. I chase after her. "RACHEL!" I call after her. She turns around and faces me.

"STAY AWAY FROM ME!" She shouts at me. "Rachel? What's wrong?" I ask her taking a step forward.

"I SAID TO STAY THE HELL AWAY FROM ME!"

I keep walking towards her and that's when she breaks my heart.

"I DON'T WANT A MATE AND I DON'T WANT YOU!"

The thing that hurt me the most was how how she said it with no emotion.
