I am pissed the fuck off! This award show was so disgusting and belligerent, I could not finish watching until the end. I couldn't, I just could not. I'm just going to discuss some of the things that really bothered the fuck out of me. This is not going to be in order or an organized rant. MTV has some nerve, the nerve of this network is impeccable. I am about rant so hard, I don't have any words to describe my disgust.
Let's start with the motherfucking host. Miley Cyrus, she had the nerve to wear fucking dreads on this televised award show that she was fully aware was going to be seen by many. This was a conscious decision, she decided to appropriate black culture. She also had some small skits with her and these different rappers and I almost threw the fuck up. This is fucking amazing, this is incredible how she can do this. This what we allow, white people do this shit because we fucking let them. This isn't something that's new with Miley Cyrus, she does this shit all the damn time and it's only reason she's still relevant.
My problem is that she can stand on that stage and flip her dreads around with no consequences. Meaning that it will not be a problem for her to get her little white ass on a morning talk show and be the "innocent white girl". When it comes to black women, our blackness isn't something that switches on and off. We aren't all of a sudden black when it's convenient for us to "look cool", we also deal with the oppression forced upon us.
She did something similar last year when she got her ass on Good Morning America and started to talk about "oh The Nae Nae is the hottest dance" and all this bullshit. My point is that she got herself that air time and got money for appropriating black culture. Good Morning America would let her on the show but wouldn't let the black guys who actually created the dance themselves on their whitewashed morning show. That's basically what's she doing but that's only one of my problems with her tonight but I'll come back to her. White people are allowed to be whoever they want.
Secondly, Taylor Swift's white feminist ass got on Nicki song. Nicki was serving looks, doing really well, had on a Trinidadian headdress, and had and the black back up dancers so I was feeling it. Out of nowhere, this one comes out and starts singing and basically fucked up my enjoyment. Their fake ass beef, oh my gosh. MTV are so thirsty for advertisement that they would stage that. They were ready to depict Onika as the "bitter black bitch" too which is so fucking disgusting.
Taylor also was corny as fuck with the "Imma let you finish but..." when giving Kanye's speech which I will get to.
Rebel Wilson's distasteful bit about police. She basically mocked police brutality protesters and turned everything we stand against into a ducking joke. It was awful and I don't appreciate it. "I know a lot of people have a problem with the police" and the fact that she was dressed up as a police officer was just so disrespectful. This shows that these awards shows don't give a fuck about black struggle. No matter how much they use Jussie Smollett and Pharrell to cover up their tracks.
Kylie Jenner presented an award with her lips looking faker than reverse racism. Which, I have no fucking idea why they allowed her to present. I guess they didn't have enough culture vultures lurking around on their evil ass show.
They had Justin Bieber perform. I know some of my followers actually like Justin and are fans of his. (I don't know how you could you even put up with his shit but if you're sticking around for him, I appreciate your patience.) If you are going to be offended if I insult him then this is your chance to leave. I don't want any angry belieber comments so I advise you to get the fuck out now, while you still can.
I don't like Justin Bieber, I don't fucking tolerate the shit he does. He defended Kylie after wearing cornrows and I wasn't with it at all. His performance was basic as shit and Chris Brown did the flying in the harness thing a few years before you, so you're not special. He's not that cute and he looks dusty. Get the fuck out, go hang out with Miley or some shit. Was I supposed to be impressed?
Demi performed and my mom and I were actually really impressed with how she looked. She looked so chic and we were really feeling it and out of nowhere this dark cloud is casted upon our entire mood. The Australian Voldemort rose out of the pits of Hell and started speaking her native tongue that no one could possibly understand.
This was the last straw. I was so done at this point. If you want me to make a separate rant about this person, I will. I can go on for hours about how much I hate her. Her career is fucking over so why is she even on stage? Why? So you couldn't get Zayn to perform with The Weeknd but you allowed this monstrosity to release her hot ass breath into a mic? Okay.
Kanye accepted his award and he spoke about dying for his art and the right to voice his opinions and all of that. It was actually a very reasonable speech except for the bits where he compared himself to Jesus, that's actually sort of offensive. Despite the fact he made a good argument, I can not take anything he says seriously because of the woman he decided to marry and the family of witches he affiliates himself with. Basically, Miley fucking glazed over everything he said in his speech and watered it down to the fact he had admitted to smoking weed before the show. She also joked about voting for Trump, which is terrible because voting for Trump means that you are voting for hate. I'm not surprised that racist bitch would do it anyway. I'm so glad Nicki came for her because she looked like a confused bag of mayonnaise the entire show and it was annoying as hell. I wouldn't be surprised if that was staged as well.
These were the few things that really bothered me about the MTV VMA's and I'm so mad I spent all day voting for 5SOS to receive an award from such a disgraceful show. I didn't talk about every single thing because I wrote this straight from my memory and what I remembered from tonight. I'm going to bed. I'm so over it and so disappointed.
