This is problematic. If you say this you do realize that you're basically saying that acknowledging my race will make me seem less than human. Also, you're refusing to recognize racism and the struggles that come along with that oppression. Yes, we are all human but you're erasing who I am. Don't erase my race/ethnicity just because it makes you more uncomfortable. You are being dismissive and failing to comprehend that POC face racism. Acknowledging that I am not white isn't a bad thing.
