Chapter Four || Reality & Awkward Situations

P E R R I E

"I'll see you after my shift, okay?" Eleanor smiled, pressing a kiss to her boyfriend- Liam's-lips.

"Yep" He replied, popping the 'p' in the exact same manner Zayn would.

Wait, what?!

Eleanor waved goodbye to Liam, before glancing at her watch.

"Right, fifteen minutes before we open up the Café. Anything to catch up on?"

"Actually" I began, awkwardly scratching my neck. "There is"

Eleanor pulled out two chairs for us, gesturing me to sit down. "I'm all ears"

"Well..I kind of had another dream..about the same person" I said. "It dreamed of him last Thursday night and then dreamed of him again last night!"

Eleanor raised an eyebrow in a suggestive manner."Wait, so your telling me your dream kind of left off from where it ended?"

I sighed with relief and threw my hands up. "Exactly!"

"By any chance do you remember anything from last night's dream. The persons name, or his looks, or anything?"

I nodded eagerly, holding my finger out to count how many things I knew about my dream boy.

"Well, his name is Zayn Malik. Looks about in his early twenties. He has short dark brown hair and addicting hazel eyes. Light stubble, not too heavy. Strange accent, probably a Manchester one. Oh wait, no! It's a Bradford accent, since he's originally from there. And..yeah"

Eleanor looked as though she was finding it pretty hard to process all that information in one go.

"Perrie, are you aware of lucid dreaming?"

I shook my head, never recalling anything about lucid dreaming. "Never heard of it"

Eleanor grabbed her Laptop from the counter and brought it over to me, setting the screen at an angle I could see what she was doing too. She went onto Google, typing in 'Lucid Dreaming'

Lucid Dreaming is a rare state in which a person soon realises they are in a dream and that they may learn how to control it.

I read the sentence again and again, finally realising that this was definitely my case.

"Is it like a scary dream or a nightmare?" Eleanor asked.

"Absolutely not"

"Then why is it bothering you so much?" She asked softly, beginning to pack her laptop away.

"It's not supposed to be a big deal then?" I asked, standing up and putting my chair in.

Eleanor shook her head. "No, unless it haunts you. Then it would kind of be a big deal, but that's a different subject so let's not go there. For now, just think of your dreams as dreams and nothing else, okay?"

"Okay"

"That dinner was the best I've had in a long time!" I exclaimed as me and Perrie entered our apartment. We had just come back from our date at an Italian restaurant and it was amazing.

"Yeah, it would have been if you would have let me pay" She pouted.

"Awh, that wouldn't be classed as a date then, would it Periwinkle? The man always pays, the woman just sits there and looks pretty"
