"There is no way that The Spinners are better than The Tragically Hip!" You said.

"The only reason you think that is because you are Canadian, you're practically forced to enjoy The Hip!" Harvey argued.

Just as I was about to defend one of my favourite bands of all time, Donna knocked on the glass door of Harvey's office. She looked as if she was going to cry.

"What's wrong Donna?" You asked her, as I stood up from my place on the edge of Harvey's desk.

"Can I speak to Harvey alone please?" She asked me, very close to tears at this point.

"Yeah, yeah for sure, I will be in my office if either of you need me" You told them, packing my things into my bag and leaving.

Present day

"I'm not going into work today, I need a day to myself" Harvey told me.

"Does Mike know? Would you like me to tell him?" You questioned him.

"No he doesn't, and could you?" He asked.

"Of course, I will see you later, do what you need to do" You said to him.

"I love you, I will be back for dinner" he told you with a small smile.

"And I love you," you said kissing him on the lips for a second "now go"

You could hear a knock on your office door, and the door open a little bit. You looked up from the file you were looking at, and saw Harvey tears in his eyes, but of course he would never let anyone in the office, but you see them.

"Are you okay Harvey, what do you need?" You questioned.

You were a little worried, the only other time you had seen him cry was after he moved out of his parents house, but that was because he blamed himself for his family crumbling.

"I need you"

Present day

"HEY, MIKE!" You shouted as you jumped out of your taxi, in front of Pearson Hardman.

"Hello (Y/N), what do you need?" He asked as he finished locking his bike, and walked over to you.

"Harvey told me to tell you that he isn't coming in today, so if you need help with anything come see me" you relayed the message.

"Oh okay, is he alright?" Mike asked you.

"He will be fine, and he will be back tomorrow," you answered," but when he comes back, don't ask him about it, he won't say anything."

"Okay, well, I better go, I will probably see you soon" he said

Harvey had you wrapped in the tightest hug that you had ever had, his arms around your shoulders, yours around his waist. he was crying, just a few tears, but you still knew he was crying, he hadn't told you why yet, but you knew he needed a minute, and knowing you were there helped him slightly.

After a minute or two he loosened his grip on you, not completely but enough so that you could look at him. You grabbed his face between your hands and wiped away his tears with your thumbs.

"He's gone (Y/N), he had a heart attack this morning, and he's gone" he told you.

You knew exactly who he was talking about, his father, and you understood why he was crying, heck you almost started. You had met his father many times, and you thought that he was a great guy, you knew him like he was your own dad. You also knew how much he meant to Harvey.

You pulled Harvey in for another hug, you couldn't say anything to help him, so you were just going to be there for him.

Present day

You knew where Harvey was going, so you didn't bother texting him, you just threw yourself into the pile of work on your desk, and tried not to think about it.

A knock sounded from your door, you looked up from your computer and saw that it was Mike with two cups of coffee in his hand, you smiled at him and he came in.

"I figured that because Harvey wasn't here, no one was going to bring you your 10AM coffee" he stated.

"Thank you Mike, you are a lifesaver, I thought I was going to fall asleep on all this" you said pointing to the stack of files in front of you.

"Well then I guess you owe me one" he told you, sitting down in one of the chairs on the opposite side of your desk.

After about 10 mins Harvey had finally finished crying, and you guys sat on the couch that was in your office to talk it through.

"Last time I saw him was three months ago, he called this morning, and I didn't call back, I should have, I could have talked to him one last time" he said

"Yes, you could have talked to him this morning, but if you did, you would be sitting here saying that you should have GONE to see him, no matter what
You did this morning, you would have wanted more," You told him "you just need to remember all the good times you two had together, you can't think of the could have's or what if's, you will just drive yourself crazy over it."

"I know, it's just hard to do" he answered.

"I know it is, but just know that I am here for you no matter what" you stated.

"Thank you (Y/N), I love you" he responded as he wrapped you in another tight hug.

At the time you thought nothing of his little confession, you just assumed it was caused by his grieving, but little did you know, about 10 months later, something would change in your friendship.

Present day

"Oh gosh, remember when he gave me that puppy speech," Mike laughed " he was all like 'you never send a puppy to clean up its own mess'"

"To be honest, you kind of deserved that one" you smiled.

"You're goddamn right he deserved it"

"Oh, Harvey I didn't notice you come in" you stated.

You and Mike had got caught up talking and reminiscing when he came to you for help, it was now about 6:00pm.

"Well I'm just going to go home, I will see you guys later" Mike said as he packed up and walked out.

Harvey and you just stayed still for awhile, staring at each other. He was the first to move, he came up to you and wrapped you in a strong hug, it felt very much the same as the one he gave you all those years ago, and you knew exactly why.
