Chanel P.O.V
I sighed as my phone rang once again before leaning back in my chair and throwing my head back in aggravation. Lately, my sleep had been scarce and wondering what Elliot was doing all the time on my mind didn't help at all. It was only ten in the morning any I was already over the day
"C.S.M Event Planning. Chanel speaking, how may I help you?" I said pretending to put on a cheerful voice.
"Hey baby" a very happy Elliot said through the phone.
"Bye" I said before I hung up the phone. He had legitimately ignored me for over two weeks and I was honestly over the situation. My phone began to ring again, and since it was the same number calling, I just let it go to voicemail.
After a few minutes the phone kept ringing only aggravating me more and more. I sighed deciding to answer it, knowing it was the only way to get him to stop.
"C.S.M Event Planning."
"What was that about?" Elliot snapped.
"Whoa, Elliot. No need to get snappy with me. I'm not the one that's been ignoring you"
"Babe, you know I have no service out here." he said and I rolled my eyes, already over this conversation. If this was how Elliot was gonna be, then this was a relationship I didn't want.
"Now that's a lie. If you didn't have service I know for you have Wi-Fi with all those Facebook posts you're putting up. I'm not stupid Elliot." There was nothing he could tell me that would make sense because anything he would say would be a lie. There's no possible excuse for not calling or texting your "girlfriend" for two weeks but you've read my texts, and you've been on Facebook so I knew his ass is alive. I knew things probably got busy for him, but I got busy too, I always made time for him though. If us being so far away from each other was too much to handle, then he needed to let me go.
"Look, I'm super busy and I don't really have the time to deal with this. If this is too much for you, let me know. I gotta go" I said before hanging up the phone. The call honestly threw my energy off and even though I probably should've let him say what he wanted to say, I wasn't in the mood to hear it and I honestly didn't care. I let out a deep breath before getting up out of my seat and making my way to the coffee center we had in out lobby. What I need right now is a warm cup of tea to calm my nerves.
I got up and made my way to the Kureg and waited for my tea to be made. Once it was done I grabbed the warm mug from the reciever until I froze up at the sound of a very familiar voice.
"Chanel" he asked and I could hear him getting closer. A million thoughts ran through my head as I tried to figure out why he was here. Today was already off to a bad start and I didn't know how this encounter was about to go. I gathered my thoughts before turning around slowly and speaking.
"Hi" I started "umm, that are you doing here?" I stammered
"I umm" he said. I guess trying to figure out what to say, just like I was "I wanted" he started "I...my mom told me you were doing the party. Thank you" he finally said and I shook my head
"It's my job. You don't have to thank me" I shrugged looking down at the floor.
"Yes, you could've said no"
"But I didn't want to" I said truthfully. I loved what I did and even though Trey was involved it didn't matter much to me. I was so worried about how I would feel when I saw him but now I knew that I didn't need to be. It felt a little awkward being in the room with him but it didn't matter much. Besides the party, there was nothing to talk about so this shouldn't be a problem. I moved on and apparently so did he.
