"So...?"

"So what?" I said as I walked the treadmill alongside Brittany.

"So did Trey stop by yesterday?" she asked looking over at me and I rolled my eyes

"Britt, stop acting like you didn't give him my address. Yes he stopped by."

"Damn, you don't gotta be so persnippity. I sent him there because he was so damn desperate to find you so I just told him where you were." she huffed

"You couldn't give me a heads up?" I asked

"No because I know you, and I know you still care about about him so I knew you wouldn't be mad." she said and I sighed knowing she was right.

"Whatever"

"Mhmm whatever. I knew you wouldn't be mad. Especially since you didn't call me ready to chop my head off. So what did he want?" she asked

"He didn't say he wanted anything, but he came over and made me soup and shit so I could feel better."

"Aww how cute?" she said and I looked over to see her smiling. and I furrowed my eyebrows.

"You're so annoying. Now you're team Trey all day?" I asked and she laughed

"I'm not team Trey, I'm team Channel. I want whatever makes you happy. I'm sure you still have feelings for Trey."

"I'm sure I do too." I replied "But that's not gonna make me take him back any easier. He has a new life now and so do I, so that's that." I shrugged

"So what if he breaks up with his girl and decides that you're the one he wants, then what?"

"Then he has to work for it, if I'm even in the place where I still have feelings for him. I haven't seen him in five years. I'm not just about to run back into his arms and I don't expect him to leave his girlfriend for me." I said. Brittany's words got me a little annoyed, but not with her, with everybody who made me feel bad about leaving Trey because of who he became. Its nice that he's a superstar, but that doesn't change the way I feel. He hurt me, and I'm not gonna take him back because of how good he looks or because he's Trey Songz. Things don't work like that and everybody that thinks they should needs a reality check. I'm not gonna run back into his arms and allow him to disrespect me yet again.

"You know, I think you guys should talk about what happened." Britt said after being silent for a while.

"We already did. I said I forgave him, he said he was sorry. Water under the bridge, nothing left to say."

"No. That's not what I mean. You guys really need to talk about what happened. Let him tell you the details, gain closure. I really don't think you have that." she said and I thought about her words. She was right, I didn't have closure, but I wasn't sure if I wanted to hear the details of an even that ripped the little trust I had in men to shreds. Trey may have been sorry, but I really don't think he knows what he did to me.

"I don't know Brittany. That just seems like I'm reliving it again and I don't wanna go through that." I said

"I understand. But I think it'll be good for you. You don't have to though. Its just a suggestion. You gotta put your feelings and emotional health first."

"I get it. I'll think about it. I just really don't see the point in it though, especially if I'm trying to work things out with Elliot. I do like him, I wanna see where it goes." I said letting my thoughts flow calmly.

"Hmm, so you guys spoke?" she quiz

"Yea. He apologized and admitted that he needs to work on his communication, which has always been a problem between us but this week was excessive." I admitted. Elliot's communication had always been terrible but this week was definitely over the top. I tried to understand, especially since he said he wasn't a relationship person, but if that was the case, then he didn't need to be with me.
