Now she's gone...

Chapter 10

My POV (again):
Me and Freya went searching for Dougie everywhere we could look. "No where, god where could he have gone?" Gi asked. She wrapped her arms around Tom and I put my arms around Freya. We all split off again and me and Freya went back to the car to see if he was there. "Oh my god!" Freya squealed. I saw Dougie's body along the floor by the car. Next to him was a packet of cigarettes and a big empty bottle of alcohol. It looks like he had overdosed, but he had only just passed out. Freya leaned over him to check he was breathing, and he was, and immediately we called an ambulance. I placed my hands on Freya's shoulders and she looked up at me. "Oh Harry, is he going to be alright?" She asked me. "Yeah, he will be just fine" I replied to her. I cradled her upper body in my arms as Gi, Tom and Danny came running towards us. "Is he ok?". "What's happened?". "Oh my goodness". "Everybody calm, come on let's head to the hospital!" I suggested. The hospital was around an hour away and we were waiting in the car. Freya had fallen asleep on me and Gi was resting on Danny's shoulder, because Tom was driving.

"Harry...is Dougie going to be ok?" Freya asked me quietly. "He's going to be fine, we are almost here now" I explained to her. She started to wake and I could tell something was playing on her mind, but I needed to check if Dougie was alright, so I didn't bring anything up. She placed her hand on my thigh and immediately kissed on the lips. She rested her forehead against mine, and that's when I knew, something was up. We arrived at the hospital and we all ran inside. "Um, Dougie Poynter?" Tom asked the receptionist. "Right this way, if you care for any refreshments just come to us and we will get you sorted" She explained. We followed her to Dougie's Cubical, and it looked like Danny had fallen for the receptionist. Her name was Georgia. Whilst Danny and Georgia were talking or 'flirting' with each other, me, Freya, Tom and Gi went into Dougie's Cubical.

He was asleep but as soon as the curtain opened, he was wide awake. "...Freya?" He said with a groggy throat. "Dougie!" I shouted. I jumped on his bed and gave him the biggest hug. Everyone started to laugh, even Dougie. "Are you alright?" Freya asked holding onto Dougie's hand. "...all better...now" He said winking at Freya. I looked at Freya and she was smiling, but also had tears in her eyes. Surely nothing between them. I mean, Dougie's my best mate, and Freya, well, she's my girlfriend, so obviously nothing happened, or did it? I jumped off the bed and sat down on the chair pulling Freya's waist for her to sit on my lap. She rested her head on my shoulder so he nose and lips were against my neck. Tom and Gi had greeted Dougie, but eventually fallen asleep on the floor together.

"Guys, I'm going to see you later, me and Georgia, we are going back to the house" Danny explained. She slapped Georgia's bum and she squealed in excitement, those two were up to something. I looked over at Dougie and saw staring at me and Freya. She had fallen asleep so I placed her on the chair and went and sat next to Dougie. "Dougie, what happened?" I asked him. He sat there in silence. "Dougie, Freya was crying as soon as you went missing, so did you do something to her? Did you hurt her?" I asked him. But he just sat there, sobbing with his head in his hands. I backed away from him and placed Freya back on my lap.
