Now she's gone...

Chapter 19

Second day in Paris, and I had a special something for me and Freya planned, I was going to take her for a meal at the most expensive restaurant in the whole of Paris, and then go to the theatre with her to watch a play that she had been talking about before. First thing I need to do, was tell her about it. It was around 7:58am and I don't know why I was up so early, but I walked out of the bathroom and saw Freya peacefully sleeping in bed. She was so cute, whenever she was asleep you could see her dimples sometimes. I crawled up next to her and tried to wake her up carefully. "Hey sunshine, you feeling ok?" I asked her. "...Yep, why you up so early?". "Well, I have a great day planned for us" I explained. "Really, what are we going to do?" She asked. "You'll have to wait and see, come on, get dressed, we'll get breakfast and start the day" I said whilst ripped the covers off of her. She moaned in sadness but eventually walked out of bed and headed to the shower. I followed her in and brushed my teeth whilst she jumped in the shower. "Babe, what's happening today?" She asked. "It's a surprise, just I hope you like it!" I said as I laughed. The shower turned off and there was silence.

"You ok Hun?" I asked. "...yep, never been better!" She replied. I looked at her in the reflection of the mirror to see her staring at the floor. "What's going on Freya?" I asked worriedly. "Nothing...it's embarrassing so don't worry" She said. I opened the curtain to see the shower flood covered in blood. I looked at her to see if she had cut herself but I didn't see any marks. "Where is this coming from?" I said scarcely. "I'm just...on my...period, like I said, no need to worry" She explained as she let out some tears. I felt relieved but confused to why she was crying. "Why all the tears?". "I just don't want...this, to ruin our day!" She explained. "It won't Hun, it's fine, I'll take care of you" I explained.

About half an hour later we walked downstairs to get some breakfast. "It all looks so good here!" Freya said whilst rubbing her belly and looking at it. "...Why do you keep looking at your belly?" I asked. "Ugh, you worry too much Hun" She laughed. She kissed me on the cheek and went straight to the food counter to get some 'grub'. Eventually, we had finished our breakfast and we headed out to start the day. "Babe, I can't wait for today!" I said trying to tease her. "Please tell me what's going on! You are making me go crazy" She said whilst smiling. I tapped her in the nose and signalled for a taxi. But we couldn't get any transport. "Why does no one listen?" Freya asked as she looked at her stomach, again. "I don't know babe, but we will be leaving shortly, we have plenty of time". To be honest, I was panicking about our day out. What if it doesn't go to plan? What if the plans have been changed and messed up? And why was Freya constantly looking at her stomach? That really had confused on why every five seconds she was just stood there looking at herself. "Taxi!" I shouted. But nothing was happening. "You know what, let's walk, it's a lush day out so come on Hun" She suggested as she grabbed my hand. I smiled and followed her happily, it looked like she had the whole day planned out instead of me.
