As soon as I got home, I had Danny and Tom questioning me about how the date went. "So, when are you seeing her next?" Danny asked. "Well funnily enough, she wanted to come and meet you guys, so she's coming round tomorrow" I explained. "That's perfect! Giovanna's coming round tomorrow so she'll have some girl company too" Tom added. "Oh wicked! Ok, where's Dougie?" I asked. "...he's in his room...crying" Danny explained. My face dropped. I ran upstairs and burst into his room. I saw him cocooned in his duvet with a few tissues surrounding him. His eyes were all puffy and he was sobbing, extremely loud. "Dougie! Oh my god mate what's up?" I asked as I jumped on the side of his bed. He rubbed his eyes and say up in his bed. "...I got beaten up today, and they people who beat me up, told me that...'If I mentioned this to anyone, they would hunt down my mum and my sister'. It's babyish I know." He explained. "It's not! Who did this to you!" I asked him. "...Blake and his friends". Immediately when I heard his name, I knew it was time to get revenge, but first, I had to comfort Dougie. "Your family is perfectly safe and you know that Doug, so come on, how about we skip the 'FIFA' tonight and order a pizza?" I suggested.
Dougie got up and out of bed and went straight to his drawers, where he kept a stash of cigarettes. "Tonight I'm gonna need one of these" He laughed as he pointed to his pack of cigarettes. "And, I got myself some beer, so maybe I'll be ok" He said to me with a fake smile on his face. I left his room to let him do what he want. As soon as I shut the door, I heard a loud crash come form his room. He was definitely not ok. And neither was I. I stormed downstairs and confessed to Danny and Tom what Blake had done to Freya and Dougie. "That's insane, someone who hurts people like that should definitely be banished from here!" Danny said dramatically. "A bit over the top Dan" I said as I laughed at him. "Well I'm being serious, he's a waste of space and he hurt one of our best mates! That's not ok" Danny said as he punched a wall. "Come on guys! How about we just figure something out tomorrow and focus on trying to make Doug better, we all know he gets seriously affected by this kind of stuff" Tom explained.
We ordered the pizza and set up a film night to make Doug by watching a load of his favourite films, starting off with Jurassic Park. "Doug, come down here a sec!" Tom shouted. You could his footsteps thumping across the floorboards. He came downstairs, and to be honest, he didn't look good. "We thought we would cheer you up!" I explained and led him to the sofa. "Thanks guys, this really mean a lot" Doug said as a tear travelled down his cheek. The whole night we stayed up watching our favourite films together. I know it sounds girly, but it did make Doug feel a lot better, and that's when we knew, together, we needed to be close, so no one gets hurt.
