''Well... Selene explained to me how werewolves exist, by her giving a group of people the wolf bite. Julia, Rosalie, Mia, Marcus, Alexander and Jonathan, the originals, your ancestors I guess. They were the strongest werewolves in existence, and the alpha's or luna's to their packs, their children and grandchildren were the future leaders of the packs. Alpha's and Luna's are the leaders obviously.

To ensure that every pack was safe, Selene made the gifted. Every 100 years every pack gets a new gifted and that they have abilities. And there was a part that I didn't get much, about soulmates. But that's pretty much all I know'' I say, hoping that I remembered the names of the originals right.

''Impressive for a newbie gifted... '' Chuckles Liam. I frown at the name. I think for what happened in two days I deserve more credit, not just a title like newbie. Liam sees my frown, and immediately stops chuckling and gets nervous.

''Sorry, I didn't mean to make you sad. It's just you still have alot to learn about being a gifted, but for a newbie you're impressive'' Explains Liam. I just nod, not knowing what to say.

''So, back to where we were, as you know the alphas and lunas are the leaders of the pack. Alpha is what the males are called while Luna is what the females are called. Alpha is the letter A in greek, it can also mean the first, the leader. While Luna is the moon, since we are called the moon's children, the luna is like the leader of these children, a mother as well'' Begins Liam explaining, but I have to cut him off to ask a question.

''So it's like the alpha is the brain while the luna is the heart of the pack?'' I ask.

''Exactly. They are the strongest and have the highest ranks. After them comes the beta, which is letter B in greek and also the second. The beta is the second-in-command. He or she assists the alpha and is the leader while the alpha is away, he or she is very important. Next in rank is the gamma, which is the third letter in greek and is translated to G. It is the usually the best warrior besides the alpha and the beta and trains the rest of the wolves in the pack.

And there is the gifted, it's rank is as high as the beta, because it's the pack's protector, but it still follows the alpha. Then we have the head tracker and the head runner, and by their names it's obvious what they do'' Continues Liam explaining. Wow, I didn't know about all of that. They certainly have thought about everything, such as ranks and jobs... Even the names have meanings and reasons...

''Wow... This is really cool. So what does mate mean? because in Britain and Australia it means friend, is it the same?'' I ask again. I have alot of questions, not sure I have enough energy to fit them in my brain. Liam shakes his head, takes a deep breath and starts explaining.

''Mate, is a short term for soulmate. As you might know, a soulmate is the other half of the person, mates complete each other. Every werewolf has a mate. Usually, we find out who our mates are when both of the mates have turned 18. Most of the time, the males wait a bit longer because their mates are younger and haven't turned 18 yet, but then when we do, we immediately recognize our mates by the help of our wolves. Their scent is special, and the moment you look them in the eye them, you know they are your mate'' Says Liam.

''But what if you don't find your mate? What if you don't like them?'' I ask.

''Mates are destined for each other, fate has it's way of bringing them together. If you don't find your mate before 30 then they are either killed or probably, rogues. Because rogues are wolves without souls, almost like zombies, but are wolves, it's just they have given up their humanity to their wild side of them, meaning, they never turn back to their human form.
