Chapter 2
After lunch, we go home. This time I didn't need a lift from Alessa, I have my own car. I start packing for tomorrow night. It won't be a problem, since it's a Saturday and the forest is open for camping. We decide to meet at my house at 6pm since my house is a few meters away from the forest. Our backyard has view over the entire forest, because our house is built on a hill. We're going to have to walk a bit from my backyard down to the forest and set camp.
Me and Alessandra camp out every once in a while, so our parents allow us without any pleading. Besides if anything happens, my house is near.
After I am done with packing, I go downstairs to sit with my parents and eat cake, because a birthday without cake is not a real birthday. My mother has this tradition that we must have at least two cakes for each birthday, one to celebrate finishing a year, the other for the new year. I like the tradition because it means more cake, and more cake means happy me.
''So how is my favorite daughter doing?'' Asks my father.
''Your favorite and only amazing daughter is doing wonderful, and she can't wait to eat cake, she's been waiting a whole year!'' I say happily. When I am with my father, I feel like a 5-year old. He brings out this childish side of me, because he'll always be protective of me and I can't help but feel like a little girl. Sometimes, it's annoying, but I know for a fact, that he, is like this because he cares, and will never leave me alone.
''Good, my pump-melon is hungry!'' dad jokes.
''Don't you think I am too old to be called that, I mean, come on! It was ages ago I drank that smoothie, besides, it wasn't even funny''
When I was 10, I liked to make smoothies, and used to experiment on making new flavours. One time I decided to make pump-melon smoothie, a mix of pumpkins and watermelons. Let me advise you to never try it, it is disgusting. Since then, my dad gave me this nickname because he made me drink the whole thing when he won a dare between us. And I never back out, even if it means I lose.
''If you think you're old, then I am even older, and I am not so old. So as long as I call you that, I'll feel young'' My dad explains.
''Oh dad, you are never old to me, unless you hair turns white, then I have no choice but to accept that you are older and so am I'' I tell and giggle.
''That's not fair, my hair is already turning white!'' Dad says.
''Exactly'' I say and wink.
''You're still daddy's little girl no matter how old you'll be'' Dad replies.
''Of course daddy!'' I say and kiss him on the cheek.
''You guys are cute and all, but I want to eat cake, and I am not getting any younger, so get your butts over here!'' My mother shouts from the kitchen. Me and dad just shake our heads while laughing and walk to the kitchen to eat the cakes. Yummy.

''Oh God, I am absolutely full. I don't think I have place for a drop of water in my stomach!'' I say, while holding my stomach like a pregnant lady.
''You look like you're pregnant'' My mom remarks, while washing the dishes.
''Who is pregnant?'' My dad yells as he turns his head our way from the living room, trying to find out if my mom was kidding.
''No one!'' Me and and mom yell back and giggling.
''Women...'' My dad shakes his head and turns his head back and continues watching tv.
''Just because you're 18 now, doesn't mean you can be pregnant, even if the law allows it, you are still too young and I don't want to be a grandfather untill you turn, atleast 25'' Dad says, as he walks in to the kitchen.
