Aninya (Pronounced Ah-nin-ee-a)

Aninya is neither the smallest nor the largest of the countries of Taynarch, yet it is one of the most unique countries. It is named partially after Nina, the great god of dance. The Aninyese are famous on Taynarch for honouring the dance lord Nina by doing a folk dance and singing the song ‘I am the lord of the dance’. They make their money by performing for other tribes.

Aninya is one of the countries near to the pole. This means that the weather is usually cold and rainy. It is hardly ever sunny. But when it is it only last for about two hours and doesn’t go over ten degrees Celsius. Aninya’s weather is mainly predictable, but with the irregular appearance of sunlight becoming more and more often as the years go by, it is becoming easier and easier for them to grow crops and food thanks to their environment.

Wildlife on Aninya is mainly made up of one type of animal; Llamas. The llama is a sacred animal as the legend of Nina the lord of the dance mentions her having a pet llama named Arnold. The Aninyese feel that it is a privilege to own a llama of any shape or size. In recorded Aninyese history, the most highly valued llama was one who was named Lord Solomon Kingsley III, who became president of Aninya. However, the Aninyese found that having a ruler who would spit on you when you were seeking advice from them was not an amazingly brilliant idea. Since then, llamas have been treated with the utmost respect, but a law was passed that animals could never be in charge of the county again.
