Chapter 11: Stake Out

After I got it all down, I returned to myself. I changed my hair and my face back to mine. After that I contacted Fernando. "I got it all figured out, last night Edward and Damon found the building and it's swarming with strigoi, and he's there" I sigh, "I knew it, ok I'm going to get out of here with Anthony and hopefully Eddie too" but I rather not since he's been distant since the night of the dance.

"Ok, plus me and Stefan are heading out there too with Emmett","ok that's good, I'll meet up near the lake at midnight then", "ok" I hang up and go look Anthony. I find him studying at the library, it makes me giggle reminding me of when we were human. I cover his eyes with my hands, he smiles.

I walked in the library to look for a book, but also I needed to study for a test. In a table was Anthony, copying homework. I smile, he's my boyfriend after all, I love him. I hide behind a bookcase and spy on him. He pushed away and started doodling with a bad boy smile on his lips.

I go around all the bookcases, around all the tables making sure he doesn't see me. Then I head towards his table, and quickly rush to him and cover his eyes with my warm hands. He smiles, "Stella?", "nope","Bloom!" he brings my face to his lips and kisses me.

"Bloom" he whispers with a smile playing on his lips, I smack his head, "ow!", "tonight we need to get out of here for a stake out, Fernando found where Kalona is at". He nods, "alright when?", I smile, "at midnight". Next I go look for Eddie, but I don't think I should be. I ditched him for Justin at the dance.

I find him outside against a tree stump. It brings me a bit if sadness. He true cares about me but all I've been is a bitch, and only because I can't give him anything back in return. I sit beside him, his head turns towards mine. I smile, "I owe you a dance, after this is all over" he smiles, "it's ok" he murmurs. I take his hand into mine, "I need your help".

At night, almost close to midnight, me and Anthony and Eddie head out of our dorms. Eddie and Anthony share one so its easier for them to exit. I waited against an oak tree near the girls dorms. Soon I see their figures walking towards me. "Finally, lets go", "you've been waiting long?" asks Anthony, "just a bit" I shrug, "but you hate waiting, we know" smiles Eddie, I nod.

We head silently to the locked gate, I still have the key to open it. As I start to open it, someone yells out, "hey! Don't you open it" I quickly turn, well all of us turn towards the yelling figure. Dimitri. "What are you doing? It's dangerous out there" I sigh, "we found where Kalona is at and we're going to check the surroundings" he stays silent for a few seconds staring at us from his loftily height. He sighs, "fine but I'm coming with you or your not going" I roll my eyes, "you sound like a mom".

Anthony turns into a wolf and leads the way towards the warehouse. Eddie is surprised, "I've never seen him actually turn" he mutters. "Not a pretty sight huh?" I sigh, "I know how it feels, that's how I felt when I first saw him as a wolf","how?","yes shocked" I simply reply. Dimitri sighs, "sure is surprising" I nod as Anthony rubs his wolf body against mine. I pet him,"ya and it was a shock for him to see me as a vampire, he called me a monster" I whispers, "and now look at us?" I smile as I say it, it took him a long time to realize I was still me even though I was a vampire.

Eddie smiles, "still close" I nod as I look up to the starry night. "Sometimes I wonder what would had happened if I hadn't become one". Dimitri pats my back, "well just be grateful for the second chance in life" I nod, "I don't regret it","you shouldn't regret anything" replies Eddie dryly, I turn to him, "I regret many things, stupid things I have done.....","but you need to move on" he replied with a sad smile, I smile one too.

We arrive in a couple of minutes. Emmett, Stefan, Fernando an Jasper are there waiting. They high five Eddie and Dimitri as we settle to tour around the building. It's huge, it could have been a skyscraper. It has many floor levels and many offices. But there is only two exits: the front entrance and the back door. "Perfect, we can surround the place" Dimitri nods, "but someone will have to enter wit you". I nod," Justin will","we can't really trust him right now" said Eddie.

I shake my head, "I'll have to enter with him anyways even though you guys don't trust him","but someone else can go along" Eddie replied. Dimitri nods, "I think you should Eddie", Eddie nods, "I can", "then I'll have to use spirit to make you look strigoi", "oh right crap" he mutters, "you go with him, save your mind, we'll watch from outside" I nod. I have no problem with that.
