Chapter 16: Soul

When she opens her eyes, I know it isn't Bloom. But I still whisper her name, "Bloom?" I ask unsure of who she was. Her eyes fluttered open looking lost and very confused. She held a lot if sadness when she looked directly into my eyes, she shakes her head, "I'm not Bloom, I'm Aya" she whispers. I look, my heart sinking even more. She pulls me to her chest, puts her arms around me. We say nothing, she just whispered words to sooth my pain, but it did nothing. I don't cry, guys don't cry.

Yet here I am unable to move and stupid tears rolling down my face. She wipes them as they slip. Then of a sudden the door blasts open, Eddie along with Dimitri behind him stood there. I pulled away from the girl in Bloom's body. "Bloom?!" Eddie exclaims, Aya turns to look at Eddie. I watch his face sink too, anger fills his features. "You son of a bitch!" he yelled and came at me. "Hey wtf!" I exclaim as he pins me to the wall, I automatically push him off sending him slamming into the wall. "Calm down!" ordered Dimitri heading over to Aya.

"You promised you'd take care of her! What did you do to her?!" he yelled, I look away, "I tried to protect her Eddie but Kalona-","no excuses!" tears brim on his eyes. I shake my head sinking to the floor. Dimitri picks up Aya, "we will discuss this later, now we need to go everyone is waiting" he replies emotionless. Eddie shake his head and storms off muttering in how he could have trusted me. It is all my fault, I lost her. Aya walks wobbly towards me, I help support her legs.

She shakes her head and puts her fingers on my lips meeting my eyes with wary blue eyes that have no sparkle anymore. "It was her choice, I told her what might happen if she attempted it" I look away. "Lets go Aya". She nods. We all slowly walk out of the building. Everyone comes at us, with cheerful faces until they see Aya. They see something wrong with Bloom's body. They stop and stare emptily towards Aya then a pained one to me. I look down. We head back to the mansion we lived in, no one talked. At night, Aya slept in the room we used to share.

I don't stay there. I head outside to the ocean side close to the woods. I sit on the cliff thinking about Bloom and when she took me her after she had brought me back to life.

"See this all" she points to the ocean, "this is the place I started to feel human again" she says wistfully. "Before I had loved the ocean, the air everything" she holds my hand tightly. "And when I noticed I still felt that, I felt more human than ever, I felt like me and that's what you need...you need to be reminded of who you are so you don't lose yourself and become a monster" she smiled an angel smile. "How though?" I ask, she pointed, "that's now up to you, you have the world, when you were human what was your favorite thing to do?" she asked.

I smile, "sing and perform" she laughs, "of course well then perform to me? Sing me a song" she says pulling my hand more closer to the cliff's edge. I smile, "just a fraction of your love filllls the aiiirrr...when I fall in love with you all over again oooooo" I whisper into her ear as we fall off the cliff, diving into the ocean.

More tears steam down. "I'll get you back Bloom" I kiss her golden locket, "I promise no matter what I will get you back and you will be here back with me, together, beside me, soul bonded". I close my eyes and I can already picture her smiling face sitting beside me, asking me to sing her another song.
