Chapter 12: Trust Worthy

In the morning, since it was Saturday, I decided to go see Justin and tell him the plan. He was leaning sleeply against the wall, eyes closed. But as soon as I lean against the bars, his eyes flash wide open. I smile at that, he smiles a sad smile. "Hey" I whisper gently, he stands up and walks over to the bars, "hey" he repeats, tired, he looks like he hasn't drank blood in days. "You need blood" I say digging into the little bag I had brought with me.

"Don't feed me, you need all your stength-ohhh" he sees me pull out a bottle of blood, human so he can get all the strength he needs. "We need you stronger, since your the one that's going to accompany me inside to Kalona" he stares shocked, "your letting me out?" I nod, "not right this second but tomorrow at midnight we will" he nods. "What's the plan?" he asks, I smile, "glad you ask".

After I tell him everything, he looks doubtful, "you sure that will work" I smile slyly, "yes don't worry, plus my compulsion it should work" he nods thinking it through. Then he faces me, looking into my blue eyes, "you trust me enough to let only me go with you?" I shrug looking at my wedding ring, "yes, you haven't hurt me yet","yes I did, when I had to kidnap you-","that was cuz Kalona was controlling you", "you really believe that?" he asks. I turn to meet his empty hazel eyes, "yes I really do" he smiles.

He starts taking off my locket, "here you'll need this" I shake my head shoving it back into his hands, "no you need it more than I do, give it back this is all over ok?" he nods as he fingers my necklace, "I promise" he whispers. I nod, he looks down at my locket, "this heart is full of a lot of memories" I smile. "Yeah it has all my memories in it", he nods, "it has mine too" he meets my blue eyes, "it made me see a lot of things" his voice is gentle and quiet.

"Like?" I ask quietly, he smiles, looking down, "many good things". I smile, "that's good" I get up, he gives me the empty bottle. "Thanks" I nod, as I leave I can feel his gaze falling me all the way out. I head to find Adrian and tell him tomorrow's plan, plus I need to let Christian and Lissa in on it too. I find Adrian, strolling around the school, I smile, "well someone is out and about" he smiles, "watch your words Ozera" I laugh at my last name. Ozera means Salvatore, it's complicated.

He reaches me, "so what's the plan?" I let him in to all of it. "Damn that's dangerous? You trust him enough?" he asks as we walk around. "Why does everyone ask me that?" I sigh, he shrugs, "just making sure your gonna be ok" I smile at that, "I'm ok and I will be after this" I say. He nods, "and I believe you" he kisses my forehead, "be good and strong little dhampir take care and come back to us" I smile, "that a promise I plan to keep and I'm bringing back Justin with me".
