Chapter 3: Run For It

I look back and forth to all the strigoi, then I climb up the tall oak tree. The strigoi all of sudden yell out,"get her! Don't let her her away!" which makes me laugh for some reason. After I made it to the top, I don't hesitate to jump off the another tree branch. They groan, and jump off as well, following me. I keep doing that until I see a lake. I jump off from the tree into the lake. I land in the cold water, I stay under, swimming quickly away from the trees.

But something pulls my head out by my hair. I scream in pain, until I throw the person off me, landing on the water. "Your wasting your time, you've met your match" said a hoarse voice, "Justin?" I say awestruck. He smiles a crooked smile. "Miss you too" and aims to knock me down back under the water. Move quick enough and end up knocking him out. I run out of the water into the trees towards the Academy.

But he's on me in a flash. He's right about me meeting my match, he is as strong and fast as me. Except I have powers, though if I let him, he can use my powers as well, but I'm not letting. He jumps on top of me, making me land on the floor, head first. My vision blurs a little, but I push him off me quick, but he grabs onto me, he holds me, his arms around my shoulders, making me stare into his deep light brown eyes.

"I know that you love me, and that you wouldn't dare hurt me" he smiles a cruel smile, one I had never seen before on his perfect lips. Which reminds me, he's not the Justin I love, I smile a cruel smile too. "Too bad huh?" and I kick him on his crutch. "Fuck" he cusses as he goes down on his knees. I stare and shake my head and start running. I run as fast as I can until I reach the gate. But the gate was electrified with all four elements stronger than they had been when I had climbed the fence.

But I turn and noticed I had no time to climb the fence, I groan and head towards the front gate where the entrance was found, I'm in so much trouble. But before can make it I'm surrounded by strigoi. "Crap","Bloom!" I turn and see Eddie running in high speed with a stake towards me, behind was Dimitri and other school guardians. Also behind them was my brother Christian with fire in hand. "Wtf were you doing!" he exclaimed as he throws fire balls at strigoi to help. I sigh,"I'll explain later" ,"you better" I nod.

I join the fight until I see some guardians attacking Justin. "No don't kill him! He's not strigoi!" I screamed putting myself in front of him. Justin just stood there moving. The guardians sigh,"ok but knock him out" I sigh and turn to him, Justin stands still staring me down like he just noticed me, he smiles. "Well what are you waiting for?" with my eyes on him I compel him, "I want you to knock out and don't wake up until I tell you too" he falls.

I fall on my knees, sitting him on my lap. He let me compel him. I stroke his hair, "I'll take him to the cells" they nod and go to help the others. I sigh, "what am I going to do Justin?" I kiss his forehead. I have him back, his body anyways. What's left is finding his soul and letting him drink my spirit charmed blood. After all the strigoi are taking out, I have detention for a whole month and I'm not allowed to go anywhere but my training after school.

I'm ok with it I deserve it. After Justin was left chained in a cell, I went to visit him even though I wasn't allowed too. I sat in a bench, in front of the cell. "You can wake up now" I whisper, and he does, his light brown eyes open as he looks about his cell. He pulls his arms and legs, but they are all chained. He sighs, "this doesn't surprise me" he turns to me wary. I smile a sad smile, "they don't trust you sorry","ya I wouldn't trust myself either" I shrug.

"I don't remember anything except that you hurt me, why is that? What did you do to me?" he asks but I can't respond. I look away,"Kalona took away all your good memories of us and mixed them with bad things","but why" I groan,"cuz I did hurt you in a way","how?" I sigh,"I did something stupid that's all" he looks away,"you kissed someone in front of me" I nod, "ya","I want my soul back","I can do that but I need to know where it is".

He looks up,"Kalona has it locked in a Spirit Catcher" crap I cuss to myself. Aya had once told me about those things "they are used to capture sadden souls that are weak from a loss" she had said. "Where does he keep it?","in his room, I never really cared but now I want it back I just feel empty" he shrugs. I smile. "Ya you should" I got up, "I need to go" he looks up at me, "will you come back?" I smile,"yes" he nods and faces the wall.
