I looked at my feet instead of feet thare was paws, I sat down and licked my paw and and washed my face with it. What am I you ask well I can shift into a cat. Well an over sized cat with faded spots. I look like a cougar, except for the spots. I haven't shifted in so long I thought I stretched and yawned. I herd a rustle of paws agansed the earth, I turned to see a fat mouce under a beach tree.
I dropped into a crouch and slowly crept forward, making sher not to make a sound. when I was a foot away I pounced and caught it and killed is.
Then my the cat in my head, Eco piped up, Eco is my you could say my other half.
Eco: thanks for shifting
Me: I'm glad we did, and whare where you?
Eco: I was mad at you for not shifting in so long
Me: you'll get over it
I bent down and took a bite of it, it was delicious. After I finished I buried the bones so other predators wouldn't sent it out and dig it up. I herd a rustle of the undergrowth behind me, I spun around and growled. Thare was the cougar I saw last time, I signed in relief. Then I realized that he doesn't know that I am the human that he met before. I took a step back, but he didn't look like he was going to attack. Instead he slowly steped forward and when he was right in front of me he nuzzled my cheek and he purred. What he heck I thought. Then he circled me sniffing me. I wanted to move but Eco made me stay put.
Eco: Stay!
I growled warning him to back off, he growled playfully. He sat down and waited for me to make a move. Then all of a sudden he shifted into a boy about my age, he wore a black tshert and some jeans, I have to admit he looked kinda cute. I shifted two, I was waring my clothes that I had on before I shifted.
"Hi, I'm David, whats your name?" He asked smiling.
"Um, my names Elisa, I thought I was the only one who could shift into a cat," I said.
"Well you're rong," he said smiling, I rolled my eyes.
"Why did you do that?" I asked.
"Sorry about that I think my cat took over and whanted us to become mates and you know... mate," he said, and I shivered at the thought (not in the good way).
"Hey aren't you in my class?" I asked he nodded. "What are you doing here?"
"Same as you I wanted to go for a walk," he said. "Where do you live."
"Over thare," I said pointing to the way I came thare was.
"I live over thare to, I must live on the same street," he said . Thare was a silence. "So, if our other halfs want us to become mates then do you want to go to the Blender on Wednesday after school I'll pick you up at six? You now just because our other halfs want us to," he said.
"Sher," I said. "But just because our other halfs want us to," I said doing air qoutes.
"So you what to race back to my house?" I asked, he nodded an we both shifted. I started running to my house with David at my heels. Soon I reach the starting of my backyard, David was right behind me, I shifted and he did to.
"Ha I won," I said teasing him. "Ow please don't tell my dad what we are, he doesn't know." I asked him, getting worried.
"Don't worry I won't tell," he said.
"Thanks alot," I said thanking him. He fallowed me into my house, thankfully dad was at work. "You whant eney thing to eat?"
"Sher, do you have eney meat?" He asked, I nodded and brung out the ham out of the fridge. Put them on the counter top, he scarfed it down, I smirked. "I'm so sorry I have to go home," he said looking at his phone.
"Okay, I will walk you out," I said, and walked with him out the door. I waved as he walked down the street, he waved back.
I'm not the only none eney more I thought and smiled.
