This Chapter is short but important, so read on : )
I woke up with my head beating with pain. I put my hand on my for head and groaned with pain. I reached over to my nightstand and grabbed my water bottle. I took a huge chug of it and the pain soon lessened. I have been getting these headaches since I first shifted. And it was all because of the spell!
I didn't tell David the whole truth, I wasn't exactly born with the power to shift into to a cougar. When I was 12 me and my friend Victoria loved cats and desperately wanted to be able to shift into a cat, so we found a spell and we did it. A week after it started to kick in. I grew claws. I had better eye site and hearing. My sense of smell to. I was more alert, I was faster and able to jump great distances. It was great and is still.
Not until a year after did I first shift, Victoria got all of the side affects except for being able to shift into a cat. She didn't mind though. It was great, but I got the headaches to. They don't happen a lot and I learn to deal with the pain. As time passed it came les and les, thankfully. Now it rarely happens. I sat up and yawned. I looked over at my alarm clock it read 6:45.
"I might as well start getting ready for school," I sighed. I got up and stretched. I got out some clothes and put them on my bed. I sighed as I began to get sleepy again. I love walking through the bush in the dark, but hate getting up in the morning. My eyes started to drop, I layied down and whent back to sleep ones more....
