Wednesday afternoon
JORDAN stared at Celestine from the hospital bed in Makati Medical Center. She looked so pale and lifeless. Why did she commit suicide? Hindi niya mapigilang sisihin ang sarili, siguro ay hindi nito nakayanan ang nalaman sekreto ng bawat pamilya nila? But that was odd! Just two days ago she came to happily tell him na tapos na ang problema niya kay Georgie. She managed to explain everything to Georgie without any stain of truth about their secret. When he asked her what she told Georgie to forgive him just like that;
"I told her that Samantha is one of your groupie and she's kinda obsessed with you! Man! Georgie was proud of you! imagine that!"
She said happily. Groupie? Obsessed fan? Georgie forgave him instantly just because of that stupid reason?!
He hugged Celestine tightly. "Thank you sweetheart, you've amazed me! Now get dress! It's about time to use this tickets!" Itinaas niya sa ere ang nabiling ticket para sa concert ng Westlife. She was even jumping like a child nang muling makita ang ticket.
They watched the concert together, they were shouting, laughing and jumping inside the arena where the concert of Westlife band was held. She was screaming for her favorite Shane Filan, the band's lead vocalist. It was fun! He always felt young and free with Celestine. He just couldn't understand why she overdosed later that night.
He was thankful that the doctor said that she will survive at magigising na rin ito anomang oras.
"Jordan..." Georgie touched his shoulder. "You should go home now..."
He tapped her hand above his shoulder for assurance. "It's okay honey, I want to be here when Celestine wakes up, how about you?"
"Yeah, mind if I go? I'll just take a nap and have shower, I'll be back soon, pabalik na rin sina Daddy at mommy dito."
"Ofcourse hon, si Mang Marco ba maghahatid sa'yo?" Mas panatag siya kung si Mang Marco ang magda-drive para kay Georgie dahil alam niyang iingatan nito ang anak.
"Iyong isang driver ang susundo sa'kin. Dalawang araw ng hindi pumapasok si Mang Marco, I'm starting to get worried about him, kakabili ko pa naman ng cell phone niya. I heard na may mga armadong lalake daw na pinagbabaril ang laundry shop niya the other day."
Jordan swallowed hard. Is Mang Marco okay? He felt a sudden nervousness. Something must be wrong!
"Any news what was their motive?"
Nagkibit balikat si Georgina. "Most probably money, alam naman natin na umaasenso na siya sa laundry shop business..." Georgie tiptoed to kiss him. "Anyway, thank you for always being a brother to Celestine, honey, I appreciate it a lot..."
He smiled at her tenderly. "I'm also doing this for you. You take care okay?"
Georgie nodded. Hinatid niya ito palabas ng pintuan at bumalik din siya agad sa silid ni Celestine. He was shocked to see her eyes opened.
"Sweetheart!" Agad siyang lumapit dito. "How are you? Everyone was worried about you, you know that?! Don't ever do that again Sherry!" He couldn't help to scold her right away despite of her condition. Goodness! What she did reminds him that day when he was so afraid to lose Martina.
Napahikbi ito sa sinabi niya. "I'm sorry...hindi ko lang kasi alam ang gagawin ko."
Inalo niya ito. "Hey calm down, I need to tell the doctor na gising ka na..." Akma na siyang tatalikod pero pinigilan siya nito.
"No! please...I need to tell you something!" Hinila siya ni Celestine.
"Sweetheart, whatever it is you need to say, it can wait, what's important is your condition! Let me call a doctor."
