What is it to be in love?

What is it to be in love

If the person you love

Needs t be reassured?

Is it not love if you felt happy

At the thought of someone?

Is it not love if you wanted to see

Another person happy?

Is it not love if you knew

That you cared for someone?

Is it not love if you did not want

Someone to get hurt?

Is it not love if you prayed

For someone's progress?

is it not love if you could wait

For a lifetime to be with someone?

Is it not love if you cared

Not about seeing them everyday

But cherishing your every single moment with them?

Why is the world so deceitful?

Making people into thinking 

That the ones who loved you

Had to be with you,

Talk to you and you alone

All the time!

Why cannot it be the eternal love from the Bible

And not the carve for physicality among humans?

Why is it so difficult?
