The next day was Saturday, so Jacob met me at my house. But before he came I was so nervous. Ever since the kiss, I kept on thinking about what if Jacob didn't like me anymore? What if he didn't think I was pretty enough? I spent 2 hours that morning getting ready. I was wearing a flowery white shirt with light blue jean shorts. I curled my hair and put on a white beanie. When the doorbell rang I ran down the stairs and opened the door. Jacob was there wearing a Virginia Tech shirt that he always wears in his Vines. I smiled, my stomach filling up with butterflies.
"Hi," I said biting my lip, smiling. He ran his hand through his hair and it made my stomach flip.

"Hey," he said. He reached for my hand and I let him take it. "I thought that maybe we could go to my house."

I nodded my head. We headed across the street and a few houses down.

As we walked into his house, I heard someone shout, "Jacob, is that you?!"

Jacob's face lit up as a girl walked in the room. "Caroline!!!" he shouted. He jumped into her open arms and I smiled. I recognized that she was his sister from the photos. He let go of her, a confused look on his face. "But you're supposed to be at college!"

She smiled. "I snuck away for the weekend." Then she saw me. "Who's this?"

Jacob looked at me his face red.

"I'm Alice. I moved here a few months ago." I said smiling.

"Oh cool!" she said, looking at Jacob. She raised her eyebrows smiling. Jacob groaned, his face turning an even darker shade of red.

"Let's go Alice," he said heading towards the stairs.

"Are you sure you don't wanna catch up with your sister for a while?" I asked. Caroline shook her head.

"It's fine. We've already spent 12 years together." she said laughing. I smiled at her and followed him up the stairs. We went up into his room. He closed the door behind me. We both sat on his bed. He had a serious look on his face.

"Alice, I'd like to talk to you." he said. I became serious and nodded. "So last night..."

"Ya..." I said looking into my hands. What was he gonna say?

"We did and said a lot of things. I was wondering if you meant them?" he said. I looked up into his face.

"Of course I did." I said. "I meant everything I did and said last night. I wanted to kiss you, I do love you--"

"Ok good," he said, a relieved smile on his face. "Because I meant everything I did and said last night, too." I smiled at him. I leaned in and hugged him. We stayed there for a while.

"So now what?" he asked once we pulled apart.

"Well," I started off. "I realize now that what I said in the ice cream shoppe, about not being ready, was a complete lie. I am ready."

He smiled. "Then I guess that's there's only one more thing to settle." He grabbed my hand. Jolts went up my spine and I smiled back at him. "Alice Jone, would you please be my girlfriend."
I smirked. "I'm not sure." I said. His face dropped his cheeks reddened. I laughed. "I'm joking! Of course! I'd love to be your girlfriend."

He smiled and said, "Don't do that! You scared me to death!"

I laughed at him. "Then there's only one final thing that we have to do to make this official."

He smirked. "I think I know exactly what that is."

We both leaned in as the door opened. It felt like the ice cream shoppe all over again. I lept away from him, except I fell completely off of his bed! I made a loud noise as I fell onto his wooden floor. I didn't have time to see who was at the door. Jacob sprang up after me and helped me up.

"Oh my gosh, Alice! Are you okay?" he asked me. I nodded my head standing up. "Mom! Get out!" he shouted slamming the door. He sighed and looked at me. "Sorry about that." I smiled, rubbing my hip.

"It's fine." I said walking over to him. He was by the door, his cheeks bright red from his mom's surprise appearance. "So where were we?" He smiled. Then we kissed and I felt absolutely fine.
