At around 10 o'clock the dance ended. As kids rushed out of the school, Jacob and took our time. We slowly walked outside holding hands as kids got picked up by their parents. After everyone had gone, Jacob and I sat down on a bench in front of the school. We held hands and I felt a warm rush go through my body. I looked at him and then look up into the dark, clear sky.

"Beautiful." Jacob said looking up at the sky. I looked up towards the twinkling stars.

"I know." I said smiling.

He turned and looked at me. "I meant you, Alice."
I looked at him and smiled. He leaned in and kissed me on the cheek. I grinned and my cheeks grew hot.

After a few minutes I got up. Jacob frowned.

"What's wrong?" he asked me getting up.

"I think we should get back home, that's all. Our parent's are probably worried." I said. He sighed.

"Are you sure that's all? Are you mad at me?" he asked. I rolled my eyes smiling. I walked towards him, grabbed his face, and kissed him. When I backed up, his eyes were wide open.

"Does that seem mad to you?" I asked him smirking. His surprised face dissolved into a pleased grin.

"Not at all." he said in a dreamy voice. I giggled and grabbed his right hand and we disappeared down the street.

After a few minutes of talking, we arrived to my house. I turned towards Jacob, my left hand in his right, and realized I didn't want to let go. This night was the best of my life, and I didn't want to see it leave.

"I had a lot of fun tonight." I said smiling at him. His eyes gleamed.

"Same, I don't want it to be over." he said squeezing my hand. I squeezed back. His eyes got wise. "Oh! I almost forgot! I have a present for you that I hope you'll like."
"I'd like anything that you'd give me." I said smiling. He beamed.

"Close your eyes!" he said. I closed my eyes. I waited for what seemed like a few seconds.

After a while I said, "Jacob, are you there--"
Then I felt his lips on mine. I stopped speaking and kissed back. I felt the sparks again and never wanted them to stop. After the kiss I opened my eyes to see Jacob looking happier than ever.

"Did you like my gift?" he asked shyly.

"Of course I did!" I said grinning. I sighed. I never wanted him to leave. My phone rang and I checked it. It was my mom. Jacob saw my phone and frowned.

"I should go..." he said reluctantly. I nodded sadly.

"I'll see you tomorrow, since it's the weekends right?" I asked hopefully. He nodded. I went into my house and smiled. I finally kissed Jacob.

"How was the dance, honey?" my mom asked as I came upstairs. I smiled.

"Great! I had lots of fun. I'm really tired, though, so I'm gonna go to bed." I said walking towards my room.

"I'm glad you had fun. Sweet dreams, Alice." my mom said leaving.

As soon as I sat on my bed in my pjs, my phone went off the handle.

Becca: What happened to you and Jacob in the middle of the dance?
Veronica: Ya, where'd you two go?
I frowned. They must know something happened.

Me: Nothing, he just wanted to show me a funny vid

After a while, I got a text from Hailey.

Hailey: Ya, ok now tell us what REALLY happened :/

Ugh, they know I'm lying. Should I tell them? Well, they're my friends. Honesty is the best policy.

Me: ....we kind of kissed.

Lauren: WHAT?!

Becca: OH MY GOD

Hailey: ALICE HAS A BF

I frowned. Now that I thought about it, Jacob and I never actually clarified if we were still friends or something more.

Me: ...three times... :)

Now I wonder what Jacob and I are. Friends or dating?
