Chapter 8: Dear Heartbreaking journal

Dear journal,

This was the day I'd joined.

No date, just the title. Madison was afraid that she will find something horrible or dirty about her here. She has known Travis had read all of this and she didn't want him to know about her life.

Madison had found out that my mom went out with the other guy. She'd wanted to tell my father about it, but I didn't want him to break down because of it, so I joined to the Heartbreaking Game. I don't know what's going to be with me there and what is it about exactly, but I remember Madison's only rule: break a heart or regret it. She was a bitch as long as I've known about her and she makes me sick every day. I don't know why she needs to be hard like this, but one day she'll regret it all.

Madison shouted. „I am what?" She called me a bitch? Great Anna! Nice start! If I knew that, I would sendyou jump of the bridge sooner!" Madison went to next page and later titles were Day 1, Day 2, Day 3. Madison played the game with her friends on every Saturday and on each Saturday one of the players got a task from Madison to complete. Madison turned to the last page and saw that Anna had written a list of the players.

Madison looked over the names and noticed she wasn't there. She though why hadn't Anna put her name on the list, but then noticed her name on the page next to this one.

"Really Anna? I can't believe this? Why did Travis give this to me? What was he trying to do?" Madison was confused. She only got pissed more and more. Madison came to page twenty and read the title How Katherine got Peter Butler. Madison had wanted to read this part, but decided not. She looked for some other titles and found one interesting.

How I feel about Madison and her game

I just came from the third day of this sick game. Madison is still a real bitch and I don't really think she's going to change ever. The game still has its one stupid rule, but after this night it became strange and more sick. Tonight was Sarah's turn to complete the task. Sarah is a policeman's daughter and she's older then everyone here, because she's seventeen years old. I don't know how Madison found her. It obviously that she put Sarah in the game because her father is a policeman, so she could escape from police if something horrible happen and bring the police. I have no idea why Sarah agreed to play this stupid game, but after she'd completed her task tonight, everything became more dangerous. Now I realize in what I've got myself, but I still don't want my mom to find about my father's second lover. Madison had always known some terrible, harmful secret about person she wanted to put in her game, so I'm still wondering what Sarah had. However, here it's what happened with her.

We all knew Madison's game is about breaking hearts, but Sarah wasn't in any relationship. I didn't know why, but now everything was clear. Madison told Sarah to hook up with cute football player Tony Odell, so she went to free room in a big Johansson house. Tonight was amazing party in Ashley's house. They'd got in and after a few minutes of loudly sex sounds, we heard a scream. It was Sarah who opened the door suddenly and everyone was shocked when they saw her bleeding. Dark, shiny blood was all around her thighs and it made lines to the bottom of her legs. Behind her was Tony who wore drawers which had been white, but now they were red. The whole scene was horrible and I wanted to throw up. Tony had a disgusting look, while Sarah looked proudly and calm like she was trying to prove something.

"What happened?" Madison asked her calmly, but with some disgusting look in her eyes. I've never met more rougher person than her.

"I think you know now why I wasn't in any relationship, Maddie", Sarah said sarcastically and went from Ashley's house.

I hadn't known what I was feeling then. I was shocked like others and everything was gross, but in the other hand, I was proud like Sarah, because she'd made Madison pay for giving her a task. I hope she'll stop playing her sick, harmful game from now.

Madison couldn't believe what did she read. All those words got her back to that night when Sarah had ended her trip in the Heartbreaking game. Madison had felt bad after that night, she remembered, but she couldn't stop playing the game. It was very interesting to her and she liked breaking hearts, especially the male ones.

Madison found the day when Nicolas and Andrew had broken someone's heart, but she didn't want to read it. She stopped when she'd seen another interesting title Madison had lost her virginity and got pregnant. What is this? Madison opened her eyes widely. How could Anna know about her getting pregnant? Had someone told her? Katherine? Madison hadn't known if she wanted to read this part of Anna's journal. Who knows what she'd written in here. She decided to close the journal and after a ten minutes, she fell asleep.

"Kevin!" I was screaming because of the pain. It hurt my whole exhausted body.

"Madison, you are brave, you'll survive this babe!" Hot voice was all over her ears.

"Alright! Sure! Just go ahead! Push harder!" I hadn't known what I had been doing, but now I didn't want him to stop. I could feel him everywhere - all around me and inside of me. I knew I was going to lost my virginity with Kevin, twenty-five-year-old drug dealer. Maybe this whole thing was a big mistake, but I didn't mind. He was so hot and beautiful and he was my savior. He'd been giving me drugs for almost a year and it was amazing. I wanted to spend the rest of my life with him.

"Push harder darling!" This time I was loudly screaming more than ever and this pain was really strange. I'd heard a female, calmly voice and felt something coming out of me. What was that? What was I doing?

"Are we done?" I had asked, but when I heard some baby crying I was released.

"Congratulations Madison! You became a mother", nurse had said and after that I woke up.

Madison was breathing hardly like she'd been drowning in dense water and suddenly came out of it. I had two dreams, both horrible! Why is this happening to me? Is this because I didn't want to read the part about me in Anna's journal? Madison couldn't feel worse. She thought she'd got an abortion. She doesn't have a baby. What was wrong with her?

She looked at her watch and noticed it was almost seven AM. She'd decided to get ready for the school. She felt a pain in her arm. After a half an hour her father got her to the school. First class was history today and she had to speak with Katherine about her horrible dream.
