I woke up to the smell of pancakes cooking. I sat up, rubbed my eyes and went to the kitchen. My mom was the only one in there.
"Good morning!" She said cheerfully.
"Good morning," I yawned, and then helped myself to some pancakes. I sat down at the table and started shoving mouthfuls of food into my mouth. I love pancakes. They are my favorite food! My dad trotted down the stairs, kissed my mother on the cheek and left for work.
Then Michael and Calum came down the stairs. "Good morning, boys! How did you sleep?" my mom put more pancakes on the stack.
"Yeah, how did you sleep Calum?" I chuckled, remembering the scary movie.
"Oh, yeah real good!" He said sarcastically, glared at me, and stuck his tongue out at me. I did the same.
When Michael and Calum sat down across from me at the table, I asked them, "The other two still asleep?"
"Yeah, how about your brothers?" Michael swallowed his food before he started talking.
"Mmmhmm," I say with pancakes stuffed in my mouth. Calum and Michael laugh. Then I hear my mom shout from the door, "I'm leaving for work, if you need anything my cell number's on the fridge!"
"Ok, Ma!" I yell back.
Then I hear a shout from upstairs. "WHAT IS EVERYONE YELLING FOR?! I'M TRYING TO SLEEP!" Jake yells from his room.
"SORRY!" I yell back and then I laugh to myself.
Ashton and Luke come down the stairs."Ooohh! Pancakes!" they say like little kids. Luke sits at the end of the table and Ashton sits next to me.
Right out of the blue, Ashton asks, "What are we doing today?"
I shrug, "What do you guys want to do?" It's quiet for a minute, then Michael says, "We should go to the park, and then maybe go for ice cream or something."
"Good idea," I say, "Whoever is in for that plan, say 'I'." Everyone says it. After I finish my pancakes, I go back to the counter to get more, but they are all gone. I forget about it and then go to my room. I change into a black t-shirt with the sleeves cut off and some navy blue skinny jeans. I put on some black and grey Vans and I calm my hair down. Which I don't even see why I do because I always throw my hat on afterward.
I go downstairs and ask the boys if they're ready. They are still in their pajamas and they quickly run upstairs to get ready. All three of my brothers are on the couch.
"Are you guys coming to the park with us?" I ask.
They look at me weird, and then Edgar said, "Danny we're not little kids anymore, we're teenagers. You should also act your own age. You are older than us."
"Hey! No one is to old to go to the park! And besides, I gotta make the rest of my youth worth it!" They shake their heads and laugh at me.
Ashton, Luke, Calum, and Michael come down the stairs, dressed and ready to go. The park is a couple blocks from my house, so we walk. Half way there, Luke blurts out, "Race ya!" and he quickly sprints ahead of us. We run after him. Calum and Luke won, in a tie, when we got there.
We start playing on the play ground and act like little kids again. People look at us weird, but we ignore them. We go on the swings, seeing who goes the highest, and then we jump out. We have races down the slides. But it's kind of difficult because, we are a little too old, and the slides are a little to small.
Then we roll down the hill to see who gets down there first. I accidentally crash into Ashton down at the bottom. We laugh and then he says, "Can I tell you something?"
