I woke up earlier than usual. The house was really quiet. That's strange. Usually I'm woken up by my brothers trying to strangle eachother. I took my phone off the charger. I had a new text message:
Ash: dress casual xx :)
It was seven in the morning, but I might as well get ready. I took a long, hot shower, then went to my room to pick out my clothes. I chose a white beanie, a Superman t-shirt, a piar of light skinnies, and my black converse. I straightened my bangs and pulled them out of my beanie, so they were showing. I went downstairs to see why everything was so quiet. No one was down there. Them I remembered the time, no one would be up this early. Especially in the summer. I slapped my forehead, and made my coffee. I sat at the breakfast bar again and just enjoyed the silence. I closed my eyes and sat back in my chair.
It wasn't until I heard someone pouring something. I opened my eyes to see Jake getting his coffee.
"Hey, hey! Little brother!" I cheered.
"Suprised to see you up this early," he gave me a weird look, then walked past me, and pulled off my beanie.
"Hey! Give that back!" I said. He raised it high in the air. I tried jumping for it, but my little brother is taller than me. I quickly climbed on the back of the couch and pulled him down with me. I snatched the beanie from him and returned to my coffee. Jake was just laughing at me.
"You're so short!" He laughed.
I ignored him. Luke came down next.
"Feelin' any better?" I asked him.
"Oh, yeah! I feel way better! All thanks to the mother of Daniela Ray Marquette!" He teased me.
I rolled my eyes and asked, "Rest of the boys asleep?"
Luke nodded. I heard Calum open the guest room door and come to the kitchen.
"Luke is positively feeling better," he said.
" Yeah I know," I replied.
"This morning, I woke up to him staring directly at me like a weirdo. Then he ran downstairs." I laughed at this. Silent, but hilarious, Luke.
Throughout the day, I hadn't seen much of Michael and I certainly hadn't seen Ashton. It was 6:30 now and I sat patiently in the living room. Did he forget?
ASHTON'S POV
I was in the guest room, and I checked the time 6:30. I'd better be quick. She might be waiting. Michael had helped me get ready, and gave me a lot of tips. I tend to embarass myself, and Michael was into girls more than any of us, so he helped me.
"Okay, the yawn and stretch move, don't do that. It's over-used and old. Just be brave and put your arm around her," Mike told me.
"Okay, be brave," I kept those words in my mind. I did a double-take in the mirror, and snatched my jacket from off my bed. I slipped it on, and quietly, went downstairs. I snuck through the back door, and went around the house to the front door. I rang the door bell.
DANNY'S POV
The door bell rang.
"It's for you," Calum said, kinda creepily. The rest of the boys burst out laughing. I got up and opened the door. Ashton was standing there with a single rose in his hand.
I chuckled, "Ashton what on Earth are you doing?"
He shrugged and smiled, "Thought it'd be more proper."
I closed the door behind me. Then Ashton handed me the rose and said, "For you my love!"
"Thank you! Such a gentlemen," I took the rose and we walked to the movies. On our way there, I asked, "What are we going to see?"
"The Perks of Being A Wall Flower, well I think that's what it's called." He furrowed his eyebrows. I smiled. Ashton is so funny.
When we got there, we sat toward the back of the theater. Then, came on the never-ending commercials at the beginning of the movie.
"One month left until we have to go back on tour," Ashton sighed. The thought of it made me want to cry. I looked down at my feet, then jumped when Ashton suddenly popped up in his seat.
"Maybe you could come with me-- I mean us. The four of us," he looked me straight in the eyes.
"Oh, Ashton, I'd love to, but it's up to my parents," I sighed, "I'm not 18, yet."
"Well, Cal, and Luke are doing there eduacation on the road, you could too," Ashton told me.
"Hehe, about that," I scratched behind my ear, "I dropped out."
He quietly asked, "Why?"
"Well you know me. I had bad grades and failed every class except for writing. And it was just difficult for me. The teachers, the bullies, so I just.... dropped out," I sat back and put my hand on my face. I wonder what Ashton thinks about it.
"I don't care. All that matters, is you being you. And all throughout your life, and the time I've known you, that's all who you'd be. Yourself. That's .......... why I like you the way I do."
I smiled at his touching words. He smiled right back at me. Then, the lights went dark and the movie started. About 10 minutes into the movie, I felt Ashtokn's arm go over my shoulders. I turned my head and smiled at him. Then I leaned my head on his shoulder. Moments by One Direction started playing in my head. I wish I could keep this moment forever.
When the movie was over, we walked back home. It started getting chilly, and Ashton took his jacket off and put it on me. We arrived at the front door of my house.
Ashton faced me and took my hands in his, "I had a really great time tonight."
"Me, too." His eyes searched mine, then he leaned in and kissed me. It felt right. Like magic. The front door opened, and my dad was standing right there. I felt my cheeks go red and Ash and I pulled apart. I hope mom had explained to him.
I supposed she did, when my dad left the door open and walked away. We went inside.
"So how was your date? Love birds!" Alan and Edgar laughed. I flipped them off and headed upstairs.
"Night!" I said to Ashton.
"Goodnight! Sweet dreams!" He replied happily. Not even changing into pajamas, I hopped on my bed, and fell asleep with a smile. But then, on the bad side, he was leaving in one month.
