When Selina made it to her apartment she cried until there was no water left in her body. Bruce was always her weak spot. Ever since she met him she knew she had feelings for him. Now that she knows that he's the Batman, that he's a vigilante, that she had hurt him severely. The list goes on of the events that happened that night but the one that stuck with her the most was how much pain she had caused him.

She was practically his only friend, the only person that saw what he saw that night, and she left him. She only wished that he would understand. If she had've stayed then the cops would have taken her to an orphanage. A place that she never wanted to be. Not only that but she would be sent to juvenile detention for stealing. Her life would have been flipped upside down but instead she flipped Bruce's.

She thought about everything that had happened. She mostly remembered the disappointment on his face to see that it was her. That hurt her badly. It was the same look of disappointment that she had gotten from her mother and father ever since she could remember. Then she began to think about how much she and Bruce were alike. They both became orphans at a young age. Now they were both vigilantes. And now they had realized how much they had been hurt and how much they hurt each other.

On the other hand, as soon as Bruce got to the Batcave Alfred (his butler) greeted him and quickly realized the expression on his face. It was hard to tell his emotions but Alfred knew him long enough to sort out each one. He quickly realized the hurt in Bruce's eyes and his tenseness. Alfred knew something happened. Something that doesn't normally happen. Alfred asked,"Master Bruce, what happened out there tonight. Did you catch the woman?"

He replied disappointed and angry,"No Alfred. I didn't catch her. I let her go. She is Selina Kyle. The girl that was there when my parents died and sat with me in the alley till the cops came. She's the one that left me." "So you could say that she's the one that got away right Master Bruce.", Alfred said playfully hoping to cheer him up. Bruce grinned for a while and said,"Yeah. I guess you could say that. I wish she wouldn't have though."

Finally ,after talking to Alfred about what all had happened, Bruce finally went to his father's old office. He picked up a photo of him with his parents when he heard a knock at the balcony window. He went to the door and looked outside. It was Selina.
