My Dearest Batman

Chapter 18: Big Top

Batman and Catwoman rushed to the scene. They were disappointed to find no one. Batman looked around confused and finally found a folded up note on the ground. He picked it up and unfolded it. "Hello again my friend. I was hoping you'd come. I'm at a place that's full of fun, laughter and tricks. It's like a circus with all the confusion. Haha. Hope to see you in person. Love, your dearest friend, The Joker" the note read.

As soon as they finished reading they jumped into the bat mobile and rushed to the circus. The parking lot was empty but all the spotlights glowed in the night sky. After the last incident with the Joker they decided not to split up. The lights in the big top tent were lit and there he stood. 

The Joker was in the middle of the arena and in the spotlight. He was dressed as if he was an announcer for the show. "Ladies and gentlemen, I present to you," he said. "The one and only Batman, and his beloved side kick, Catwoman." "Not a side kick!" Yelled Catwoman.

The Joker turned his head to face them. "It's rude to interrupt the announcer you know. Guards!" Said the Joker. Twenty men stepped out of the shadows of the tent with clown masks on their faces and guns in their hands. They began shooting and Batman and Catwoman hid under the stands. The gunmen came closer.

Then the bat mobile bursted through the tent and began firing at the men. Dust was flying, bullets too. Batman and Catwoman jumped from under the stands the first chance they got. Catwoman began fighting one of the gunmen and Batman went for the Joker.

Catwoman jumped on the man's back and began choking him while moving his arm to aim at the remaining men. After shooting the last few she finished off the one she was attached to. Batman was chasing the Joker who was trying to make a final attempt at escaping. Batman caught up to him and punched him right in the jaw.

"Come here you sick bastard!" He yelled with his raspy voice. The Joker's mouth was bleeding and he began to laugh in his sick, crazy way. Batman grabbed him and slammed him on the ground. The Joker laughed even louder and pulled out a knife. The Joker jumped up and stabbed Batman in the stomach and then Catwoman came up behind him.

She slowly put Batman on the ground and then she ran toward the Joker in a furious way. She grabbed the Joker's arm and bent it in a way it wasn't supposed to go. She took the knife and stabbed him in the chest multiple times while he laughed at the pain. When he finally quit laughing and breathing, she stood and said,"Don't mess with my Batman."
