The next week after the party went by very quickly. I had tried out for the girls volleyball team, and I had made it on. Besides that, nothing had really changed much. Will was still annoying as ever, and we had reached twenty-seven on how many times I had rolled my eyes. I prayed that he would give that up soon.
"Now, does anyone know who Julius Cesar was?" Mrs. Brown asked.
I was snapped out of my thoughts. I was sitting in History class, bored out of my mind. Clary was whispering to Jace and giggling, so I couldn't talk to her, and I really didn't feel like talking to Will. I just sighed, and rested a hand underneath my chin. Just then there was a knock at the door.
Mrs. Brown went and opened it, and a boy walked in. I recognized the boy to be Jonathan. He found Clary, and smiled at her. He then handed Mrs. Brown a note, and she read it. Jonathan then surprisingly waved at me. I blushed, and waved back.
"You're so in love with him." Clary teased.
I swatted at her. "I'm not."
She just laughed. I looked at Jonathan. His green eyes were bright, and his platinum blonde hair was neat. He was so attractive. I looked away, to find Will staring at me.
"What's is it?" I raised an eyebrow.
He shook his head. "Nothing, I was just wondering why you were eye-raping Clary's brother."
I made a sound. "I wasn't eye-raping him! I was just looking at him. He's good looking." I said simply.
Will smirked. "He's not better than me."
"Yeah, of course not." I said sarcastically.
"I'm glad you think so, too." He smirked, oblivious to my sarcasm.
I just sighed, and looked away from him. Mrs. Brown handed the note back to Jonathan, and he smiled. He waved at Clary, and left the room. Clary and Jonathan had always been very close with each other, they rarely argued.
"Clary, your brother is so hot." Isabelle said as she turned around in her seat.
Clary scrunched up her nose. "Ew, no."
Isabelle and I laughed, and she turned back around. The rest of class went by quick, and so did my next one, and soon enough I was sitting in the cafeteria. Clary was telling us about how her mom got so mad at her for going to Gideon's party last week.
"Jonathan tried to help me, but it didn't work." She sighed.
"My aunt didn't find out." I said with a sly smile.
"Lucky." Isabelle said. "My parents got so angry at Alec and I."
"Didn't your aunt see your hickeys, Tessa?" Alec asked.
I blushed. "No, she didn't."
I then made the mistake of looking at Will. He was smirking at me, looking quite pleased with himself. I blushed again, and quickly looked away from him.
"Tessa, do you want to hang out with us today after school?" Cecily asked.
I frowned. "I can't. I have volleyball practice."
"Aww that sucks. What about you, Will?" She asked.
"I can't, I have to do something after school." He replied simply.
"Ugh, no ones free." Cecily whined, and we all laughed.
Lunch then ended, and classes started again. My next classes went by quickly, and soon enough I was getting changed for volleyball. I was finishing up tying my shoe, when I heard a voice.
